Indonesia is very hot and humid. We stayed in a villa down near the bottom pool. Sleeping was comfortable in the airconditioned sleeping pod however in the bathroom is is hard to feel comfortable as the heat is overwhelming and I come from Brisbane Australia - known for it's humidity. Further there is electrical plug in the bathroom so you cannot dry or style hair. Then no mirror near electical switch in sleeping pod or bedroom area. There is also no where to sit in the room so you need to sit outside. The lighting is very romantic however impossible if you want to apply make up.

All the staff were very kind and the property was beautiful. However, the hot water wasn’t always available, and I recommend bringing mosquito repellent. The breakfast was amazing!

We stayed in the Villa. Overall experience was great except I could not believe that when we requested a bucket of ice. They make you pay for a bucket of ice??? We spent $3000 in a villa, and they charged for ice. Unheard of! Also, the food in the restaurant is okay! Better off eating outside of the resort.

We loved staying at suarga. The air curtain, air conditioning is amazing. The rooms are lovely with plantation shutters allowing privacy but airflow, bed was comfortable. 2 pools beach access next door. Plenty of restaurants close by.Staff amazing as was breakfast. Highly recommend hotel

I chose Suarga Padang Padang for its beautiful design and eco-friendly ethos, and while the service from the staff was warm and responsive, my overall experience was deeply disappointing. On our very first night, we encountered a severe roach infestation in our room — we found at least 10 roaches, which was shocking and unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. We immediately contacted the front desk, and to their credit, they responded quickly and attempted to fumigate the room. However, the infestation was so extensive that it was impossible to relax or sleep that night. Despite the property’s unique appeal and the staff’s efforts, the presence of roaches completely undermined our stay. For such a premium rate, I expected a clean and restful environment — not a sleepless night and a pest problem. The only compensation offered was a couple of complimentary cocktails, which felt insufficient after such a disturbing experience. I genuinely wanted to love this place, but cleanliness is non-negotiable. Until this issue is properly addressed, I cannot recommend Suarga to other travelers.
