had booked online at the last minute as I had a flight the next day and the property seemed close to the airport. To check in, the motel office is in a convenience store across a dark parking lot. When I opened the room door I was not expecting much, and was not surprised by the shabby furnishings. I wanted to sleep and get out of the room early. Minutes later there was loud clanging sounds of hammering on metal. Parked outside the door was an old pickup with a homemade plywood camper with a guy banging on some pipes for an hour. Worse still, there were dozens of disgusting houseflies swarming the room. Since the creepy pickup had left, I felt it was safe to go to the office for a flyswatter. The clerk handed me a can of Raid roach spray! I sprayed the bathroom, noticing there were no stoppers in the sink or bathtub and tiny flies were crawling out of the pipes. I sprayed the bathroom and shut the door and laid on top of the bed to sleep. At 230 a drunk girl started pounding on the door. I told her she had the wrong room. Minutes later she was screaming obscenities and fist fighting some guy right by the window. The room had no telephone so I couldn't call for assistance. I had booked through Expedia and didn't know the motel phone number. I laid there the rest of the night afraid to leave the room. I couldn't take a shower due to the insects, couldn't sleep due to the scumbags outside and spent the $75 for a terrifying experience!
