Room was very small, even by European standards. Location was ideal. The hotel staff members weren’t the most friendly or helpful. Overall, I think we could have found better accommodations for what we paid, but the location was very convenient to all the tourist locations.

As a solo traveler, I absolutely loved my stay at La Dépendance. The hotel is in such a great location to access many of the main Paris attractions by foot (less than 20 minutes or so). It’s close to the Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie to name a few. Also close to the seine where you can take a leisurely walk. The room was small, bathroom even smaller but it was very clean. And no weird smells or mystery stains. The only downside was the street noise but I feel that is out of the hotel’s control so if you are sensitive to noise bring some earplugs. I wish I didn’t opt to split my stay in Paris in two different hotels to explore a different neighborhood, because my second hotel which is supposed to be a 4 star hotel was very disappointing. I would definitely recommend La Dependance to friends and family who wish to visit Paris.

Our recent stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The room, labeled as a "cozy room," was extremely tiny with barely enough space to open our two suitcases. The bathroom was equally cramped, making it difficult for even one person to use comfortably. There was no space to place toiletries, and the sink was minuscule. They provided tap water in a refillable glass bottle tasted unpleasant, and we were unsure if it had been used previously, prompting us to purchase our own bottled water. The room's old, dirty-looking carpet and towels with unpleasant odors added to our dissatisfaction. Additionally, there was no night light, making nighttime trips to the bathroom challenging, and the absence of washcloths was inconvenient. The key card frequently malfunctioned, requiring trips to the front desk for reactivation. With only one staff member present at all times, assistance was limited. Overall, our experience was far from satisfactory, and we do not plan to return.

This hotel is in the middle of everything- we walked everywhere. The Louvre is a couple of blocks away and there are eateries close by everywhere you turn with lots of Asian restaurants. The metro stops are also close by. Yet the hotel is quiet and cozy. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room is small (European standard) but clean with daily housekeeping a plus. Not a fan of the half door shower stall though as taking a shower means flooding the room. The room we got also had a glitchy card reader that barely worked for room lights. Else it was a wonderful stay and we would stay there again.

If I can give it more than 5 stars, I would. They are excellent in every way starting with their top notch and friendly customer service (24/7), clean hotel, and well maintained rooms. For my fellow American travelers, this is a typical -but an amazing- boutique Parisian hotel with a very sweet and cozy feel to it, very charming, elegant, sophisticated, cute, romantic, and yes… with very small rooms and facilities. But who needs more sleeping space in Paris when we will be spending all our days outside visiting the city? This hotel is literally a walking distance to so many amazing places in Paris (Seine, Louvre, Champs Elysee, shopping, tons of restaurants, metro, buses, trains, etc… you can’t go wrong. We looooooved this hotel so much, loved their hosts, and really enjoyed their customer service experience. We will be back for sure! They made us feel home.

Everyone from the hotel was so nice and kind, shoutout to Kim and Lylia. The room is very chic and always clean. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely choose the same hotel next time I come to Paris. The location of the hotel cannot be better, it is within walkable distance everywhere, particularly Louvre, Place Vendome, and other major hotels, making it the ideal place to stay during Fashion Week.

The hotel is what it is,a very small three star where you go after a long busy day just to sleep. All was fine,bed was comfortable ,shower was ok,it’s was quiet and discreet but the unbearable smell of cigarettes on the hallways makes me not want to go back.
