Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was quite disappointing due to several avoidable issues, mostly related to poor service and lack of basic hospitality.
Upon arrival, we asked the front desk about parking, but the person at reception didn’t seem to have any clear information. We were advised to download an app and enter all our car details, only to later realize that street parking was actually free. That unnecessary hassle could’ve been easily avoided with proper guidance.
We were also given a room on the second floor, but there’s no elevator in the building. This meant carrying heavy luggage up two flights of stairs, which wasn’t ideal and should be clearly mentioned when booking.
Another issue was with the breakfast. We had already paid for it as part of our Expedia reservation, but the receptionist insisted it wasn’t included and told us we would have to pay €18 per person. The next morning, we had to once again show our booking confirmation to prove that breakfast was included. This lack of coordination was frustrating.
To top it off, as we were heading to the airport and didn’t have time to eat in, we prepared two small sandwiches to take with us. One of the staff members made a scene, rudely telling us that food must be eaten inside and not taken out. We tried to explain that we were in a rush to catch a flight, but there was no understanding.
Overall, the staff were unhelpful and at times outright rude. A complete waste of $330.
