We really liked this very clean and tidy, modern reasonably-priced hotel (small rooms, interior walls could be thicker, but no street noise). Diana is situated between the Sorbonne and Cluny-Sorbonne/St Michel/NotreDame on the Left Bank. Very close to Notre Dame, Pantheon, Latin Quarter and St. Germain and lots of mass transit stations (RER to airports, Batobus on-off river boats, metro to everywhere). Walking distance to the Right Bank and Jardin des Plantes (we highly recommend the old, 19th c. museum of Paleontology and Comparative Zoology over the modern Museum of Natural History and its hall of evolution -- though both are worthwhile). Lots of nice restaurants on Rue Mouffetard. The area near the Pantheon has lots of students, bars, and cafes. La Creperie on Rue St. Jacques facing the Pantheon is awesome. For us the Pantheon was a highlight of our trip with an amazing 360 degree panorama of Paris (albeit many steps up), a sacred place for France and the Enlightenment. We highly recommend getting bread and pastries for takeout from La Maison d'Isabelle, not to be deterred by the lines that form. The Musée de Cluny just around the corner is not to be missed (Roman baths and unicorn tapestries).

Nice hotel

Great deal in Paris. Small hotel in close walking distance to Notre Dame. Very clean and comfortable. The name of the hotel has changed. Very, very small sign on the window that says hotel Diana. It looks like a hotel chain K bought it and is K Sorbonne.

Surprisingly, it is quite roomy for 3 people. Only dislike point is the shower door is not big enough to keep water within the shower. Also no cups in the bathroom that we have to ask for the paper cups.

Good location and clean

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Very good location near Notre Dame. The room was very basic; no coffee maker in the room, no drinking glasses, no shelf for my things in the bathroom, no drawers for clothes.

Stayed for 2 nights. Location is excellent. Room was compact but comfortable. Nice bathroom. Delicious breakfast and excellent staff. They had to deal with no internet services because of a flood in the area but still maintained a high level of professionalism.

Great stay

This hotel is in a fantastic location to experience the city of Paris. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our rooms were very clean and comfortable. When we visited the hotel was under reservation so there was not a lobby otherwise it was a great stay.

Property has been bought by a chain and is growing through an extensive renovation. The bedrooms are clean and fresh, but not complete in terms heat, blankets and bathroom - storage, blow dryers and products. Staff make note of issues, but guest is on own to bring up heater, blanket, products, etc. to room. Advised only of breakfast room area being renovated, but not entire hotel, Travel companion booked at same time, same room type, but charged more. Terrific location easy, quick walk to centre of city, amenities, restaurants, metro, etc.

Hotel Diana is situated in a great location in the heart of Paris. My room was clean, but had few amenities besides 2 towels. They are under major renovations and it would have been nice to know at booking time. You must drag your belongings up a full flight of stairs before reaching the elevator. No staff offer to assist. When asked about getting some hand soap or a blanket, they expect you to come pick it up.Some of the staff is friendly.

The main lobby was under construction when we arrived. There was tremendous noise created by the crew and was very disruptive. The problem is we were not notified at all that this was going on during our stay. The staff was completely dismissive of our concerns. The noise did stop in the evening but started up again early Monday. The room also advertised a safe and there was no safe.

Well-kept, helpful staff, good location for walking to key sites. A basic two star hotel, fine for me. Breakfast good, many choices. My only problem is that no phone in room , so in case of emergency, you have to use your own phone to reach reception. But I had no problems.

Good location for our planned sightseeing, hence the reason for booking this hotel in particular as well as the 8.8/ Excellent rating. The hotel interior including our room on the first floor was pretty dull and drab, unlike the photos on here. The ancient AC unit in our room decided to make weird gurgling noises around 3am, even though it was turned off! Staff were pleasant though. Didn’t go for the breakfast buffet as the area off reception used for this was pretty soulless. Based on our experience I cannot agree with that 8.8 rating.

Bad experience

I only praise the good location of the hotel and the friendly and accommodating lady at the reception. On the other hand, I am outraged by the unkindness, insincerity, and lack of friendliness of the other people at the reception. Namely, in my haste, I left my mobile phone charger in the room, plugged into the wall. since I was in Paris for two more nights, I stopped by to pick him up. At first I was told that it was late and guests could not be disturbed, and the cleaning lady did not report anything. On the second day, an extremely uncivilized employee told me that the guests had not come, but nothing was found, and literally kicked me out of the hotel, unkindly and mockingly. on the third occasion, the first employee (who said he could not disturb the guests) confirmed that the guests had not arrived and that he had checked and found nothing. I have never experienced that unprofessionalism and twisting of the story anywhere. Shameful! I recommend all future travelers to avoid this hotel at all costs, especially considering that for the same price they can get a much better and better service and a much higher comfort and quality of accommodation.

This is the fourth time my wife and I have stayed at Hotel Diana since 2015. The location, service, quality, and cost have been perfect. During previous stays my wife and I have walked a lot but due to the extraordinarily busy time resulting from the reopening of the Notre Dame we had to take taxis a lot. Daniella was extremely helpful in calling taxis for us when we needed them.
