Nice clean hotel close to main centre with lots of restaurants within 5 minute walk. In a quieter part of town so no traffic or nightlife noise. Rooms were in good condition and comfortable bed. Great breakfast options and staff spoke good English and were very helpful. There is no kettle but plenty of coffee shops close by. Would happily stay there again.

Be careful before you book.

The hotel was way below my expectation for a four star facility. One day, the hotel ran out of hot water due to a serious problem in the boiler without anyone noticing and it took them forever to get it fixed without the management providing alternatives or solutions. Also the hotel is very dim and not in the perfect location in Palermo. Not to forget, the smell of humidity because of the spa is all over the place. The breakfast, such a disappointment.

Charming Stay in the Heart of Palermo Hotel Porta Felice is a true gem tucked away in Palermo’s historic center. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, always ready with great local recommendations. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely balcony view. The rooftop breakfast was a highlight — delicious, fresh, and served with a beautiful view of the city. The location is perfect for exploring Palermo on foot. Let me preface this by saying I contacted the hotel with my complaints before posting this review but haven't heard back from them. Unfortunately, I felt uncomfortable staying here. More than once, the staff knocked on my door and even entered the room while I had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. The first time it happened, I thought it was an honest mistake. But then it happened again, and my blood ran cold when the staff entered the room while I was in bed trying to nap. I was on vacation and trying to adjust to the 9 hour time difference. I've never experienced this before when the "do not disturb" sign is completely ignored, several days and more than one time in one day. It made me feel like I couldn't relax because someone might knock or enter the room at any moment. One day I came back to the room after going out for breakfast and noticed the closet door opened (I kept it closed) and some sandals were missing. At least it wasn't my passport but yikes. I didn't sleep well at all while I was here.

Hidden Gem by the ocean.

I love this hotel so much I keep coming back. Located in a quiet area near the ocean, this newly rebuilt hotel is clean with a classy modern sophisticated look. The rooms are spacious, some come with swinging doors leading to a balcony. The restaurant serves a tasty breakfast and filling dinner in the evening with excellent professional service. The neighborhood is quiet at night and for the most part, safe. Only a 15 minute walk to the train/bus station and about a 10 minute walk to the center of town.

We spent 4 days at this hotel and we loved our stay there. Very nice staff and wonderful free breakfast. We intend to stay there again next time we go back to visit Palermo
