Fantastic view but quite far out of town

Pros: Best thing was the view and the big windows you can open to get the fresh coastal air
Cons: My bed was a bit hard.
Location: Location on the Amalfi coast is great but it's a bit far from anything such as restaurants, shops or the stationa
It's a standard American style hotel with all that goes with that. Apart from the fantastic view of the coast, you could be anywhere in the world. If you don't have a car maybe try somewhere else because it's a €15 taxi trip to town or the station. The food is ok, nothing special but comes with friendly service. The complementary water was a nice touch as was the coffe machine.

Clean modern hotel, a little far from town

Pros: Clean
Cons: Attitudes of male staff towards families
Location: A little far from town Easy to get to Pompeii and the Amalfi
Good hotel, very clean A little way out from Salerno, regular trains a short walk from the hotel, not expensive Having a vehicle would be a definite plus I thing being a family of four (kids 10 & 7) non Italian speaking was a definite negative. Overall staff were friendly, however male staff members were unpleasant and rude. Male waiter Simone made us feel like an inconvenience and virtually rushed through our meal, Also male receptionist arrogant and patronizing. Food was OK, breakfast not worth the €14 (powdered scrambled eggs) terrible taste Eating out at local restaraunts much better
