Just a convenient mile from the ferry landing, this dramatic contemporary home offers wonderful end-of-the-road privacy. Almost every room of this wonderful vacation home on Orcas Island offers spectacular views across West Sound, Shaw Island, and Wasp Passage. The sunsets will take your breath away. This is a spacious, high bank waterfront home, with a fabulous patio and deck stretching across the western side. It is a great space for watching summer boat traffic travel up West Sound to the marina.

A windowed foyer highlights the entry, as does a grand piano. There is a large living/dining room with an open hearth rock fireplace and floor to ceiling windows that bring the outside in. High ceilings and clerestory windows add wonderful volume to the dramatic architecture of the rooms.

There is plenty of space for entertaining in this home. The large kitchen has a great layout with high end appliances and cookware, and it adjoins a family room with another rock fireplace and a breakfast/game table. There is also a back entrance mudroom/laundry and convenience bath.

You will go up a half flight of stairs to the master bedroom with a king bed and luxurious chocolate marble bath with a view. In addition, there is an exit to a private balcony with spiral staircase down to the hot tub on the deck below. Down another half flight of stairs from the main level is a guest bedroom with queen bed as well as a third bedroom that offers twin beds. Both lower level bedrooms also have doors to the deck and hot tub. (Great News! The hot tub is now available April 15th - October 15th!)

The ferry dock is located at Orcas Landing, just one mile away, where you will find a small grocery, post office, and restaurants plus shops. Venture up the road in the opposite direction for about 15 minutes and you will find the village of Eastsound with its fine dining, theater, and shopping.

Spectacular View
This home exceeded expectations. The pictures didn’t do it justice. The floorplan was wonderful as you could spread out and have privacy if you needed it The outside patio ran the entire length of the house with a hot tub and dinining overlooking the water. There was everything in the home that you could ever need. Location was great as it was close to the ferry but on a private road tucked in the woods on the water. Also easy drive to town for shopping & dining. Don’t miss this one you won’t be disappointed!

The property has a breathtaking view of Shaw, Crane Island, Deer Harbor and points southwest. Be aware that in August you get lots of afternoon sun making the deck quite unusable until twilight. However, the mornings and late evenings are splendid. The place is huge and well equipped. You will enjoy privacy and forested surroundings. Though close to the ferry, it is remote from Moran, Rosario and even Eastsound. So be prepared for lots of driving!

This proved to be an outstanding property and a wonderful mini vacation for ourselves and very dear friends. The house is perfect for three couples and there are so many hidden and luxurious amenities to enjoy. The view is unbeatable, the kitchen is large and accommodating and the setting is idyllic. Ideal Holiday at Isle of Sky
When we looked for a safe escape to spend a quarantined Christmas, we couldn’t have picked better than this property. We spent the coziest and most special of holidays enjoying the stunning view, cooking and baking up a storm in the impeccably stocked kitchen and lounging by a roaring fire. This is a truly special property that is warm, welcoming and obviously well loved. We appreciate it being shared with us and hope to return someday.
