Pur AC in our room when running smelled like mildew. Waterpark your kid MUST be 54 inches or taller to not have to wear a lifevest. My oldest is on the middle school swim team but becuase shes small, had to wear a vest. That reason alone we will not stay again Bowling only was 5 frames for 10 bucks

Fun place to stay!

Initial checkin was great. Super friendly and helpful staff also. The room was clean and well maintained. It was comfortable enough for us. We used it as a landing spot for our visits to Cedar Point. It was a bonus to have the water park and other fun activities there as well. What a great trip!! My kids loved this place!! The ONLY negative thing I have to say is about the elevators. They are the slowest elevators I’ve used. Otherwise, we will be back again.

We were not happy with the service. We were there from wendsday to Sunday and our room was not cleaned once. We had pizza and we were not happy with how the service was and on Saturday the wooden slide was not working

We loved the water Park. There was no hair dryer in our room and the room attendant said she did not know where to find one. Thin walls and could hear the other room talking. Easy check in and check out.

Castaway Bay is a nice property! I would recommend staying here. The indoor waterpark is outstanding! I appreciate the attentiveness of the lifeguards on duty! Areas of improvement include: wifi connectivity is poor, along with cellphone battery drainage due to poor data availability. We had 2 rooms rented, both bathrooms needed the caulk to be replaced around the tub due to discoloration and/or the presence of mold. Ironically, both bathrooms were empty of shampoo & conditioner. Though body wash dispenser was full. Noise, vibration and harshness of hvac unit will disturb light to moderate sleepers. Finally, late night food options are limited to the "Thirsty Pony" across the street. I would highly recommend, especially in the key month of July, that Famous Dave's, (that is connected to the hotel), stays open later to at least midnight. Overall, after 25 years of coming to Cedar Point and staying at Castaway Bay, I still recommend this property! Great location, & a great value!

We received an invitation to request an upgrade from the property. While were informed in email that the property would be aware and seek to fulfill this request. The property was unaware upon our arrival and while they guided us to return later, once we received a text, again, the property was unaware. The overall check-in experience was the poorest representation of the property as they were uninformed, and the process was inefficient with a large line forming in the lobby with check-in times taking ~25 minutes to only 5 minutes. The entertainment associates sought to keep the youngest guest entertained and engaged.

A great time

The stay at Castaway Bay was a girls trip for myself, my daughter and her daughters. The property superseded our expectations. The water park was big enough to keep the girls 4, 6, and 8 entertained and small enough to keep them safely contained. The daily activities were fun and engaging for their age. The staff were all patient and kind to the child customers. The overall stay was excellent. I will definitely do it again

The room is so dirty, large hanging cobweb over the bed, dirty alongside the tub and in corners, all light fixtures covered in dust, floors dirty, needed to keep shoes on. The phone didn't work to call the front desk for a maintenance issue with the safe, needed to walk there to get it addressed only to be told to "slam" it to enable the code to work. I took pics of all of these issues. While the water park was ok, after a couple of hours the kids are over it, could have just done a day trip somewhere else for alot less. I would not recommend or stay at this property again.
