Welcome to Shell Cottage! Do you like adorable beach towns? How about private pools? What about being able to walk to the beach or zip down the road in a golf cart to locally-owned restaurants and shops? We knew you had good taste. Just look at you. Absolute icon. You're our kind of people and exactly who would love to escape to our favorite home away from home!

Despite its unassuming name, Shell Cottage is a gorgeous 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house with a private pool, covered patio, and large living space. You won't ever want to leave this house! But when you do, you can walk two minutes down the road to the beach or walk ten minutes to Flagler Avenue to explore restaurants, shops, and people-watch to your heart's delight! Or if walking isn't your thing (like me) then you can take the golf cart and get to your destination faster than you can say "oh my goodness all of this in one place?! We better book this place before someone else does!"

Even though our location is completely walkable, it is located on a quiet street where your only unexpected visitor might be Crawford, the local tortoise who lives in this area and uses our street as his personal red carpet. Our neighbors are lovely and the private pool is secluded and ready for you to turn on the jets or the fountain and escape to your own water-based oasis!

The property is managed by a swell mother-daughter duo (picture us standing back to back with our arms crossed looking at you with knowing smirks), so I promise you the best service should any questions or concerns come up during your stay! We're both people pleasers with a tendency toward perfectionism, which can be a problem in other parts of our lives, but for this it is ideal! Both of us have been vacationing in New Smyrna Beach our whole lives so we are full of recommendations and insider tips for this perfect beach town! **Also Vrbo automatically limits dog weight, but I’m more concerned with dog temperament than size. If your dog is over 50lbs just message me so we can talk about it :)

My husband and I loved our 6 week stay. Plenty of room, decor was cute and comfortable only a 4 house walk to beach entrance was great. Liked having sidewalks too for walking our dogs. Pool was added bonus though water was cool as was the ocean. We walked 6 blocks into town on a regular basis. The street area is quiet except when it was Volusia county spring break( lots of vacationers that week) which would be expected.We would love to return in the future. Taylor and Dee were wonderful hosts— met all our needs!

We've been coming to NSB for decades. This is one of the nicest homes we've ever had the privilege of staying in. The house is spacious and very comfortable.Owners were a joy to work with and very attentive to our needs while we were there.Prior to leaving, we made sure to book our stay at this beautiful, well apointed home for next year as well.Both my husband and I were extremely pleased.

This was our second stay at this house. Everything was great and the house is well stocked and does not disappoint with easy access to Flagler and the beach. We had lots of turtle visitors in the driveway this time! We will be back again! Thanks for a great stay.

Great location, great house

312 Crawford is less than a block to one of the best beaches in Florida and just a few blocks from Flagler Avenue and its variety of dining places. The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and well-stocked, from the kitchen and bathrooms to the bedrooms and even the garage. It's an ideal location for walking on the beach or walking to the Smyrna Dunes Park. Being able to use the garage and use the bikes was a major bonus. Totally enjoyed our stay there and look forward to going back.

Awesome NSB Escape!

When we arrived we found the Home to be immaculate regarding cleanliness. The accommodations were exactly as described and the owner and her daughter were available if needed. The pool and Lanai was a added benefit providing a great place for relaxing and alfresco dining.

Great place in NSB

Our stay was in this house great even with hurricane Milton blowing through. All of the pics are right on and having your own pool was a big bonus and really is a very short walk to the beach. The hosts are very easy to contact if needed and we will hopefully return for another month in 2025.

Great Beachside Vacation

My family of 5 stayed here for a month and loved it. The home is as advertised with everything needed for a great beach getaway. The location is perfect. I was born and raised in NSB and come back home every summer to see my family and friends. Owners are lovely and communicative. We will be back here for sure!
