The hallways on the 6th floor were excellent and remodeled and very clean. The room was as good but the bathroom esp the si k needed updating. The sink seemed to have been used to clean paint brushes. It was covered in white paint and had several cracked. The faucet was also not easy to turn on and off. Hot and cold directions were reversed. shower was fine. Beds were fine . Room overall was as typical of this typical of a motel. Breakfast was fair. Lots of construction in lobby and selection was not as good as previous La Quinta we stayed the night before in New Jersey.

Construction going on, not even a complete lobby to walk into. Due to construction it’s super noisy all day. My room was not clean (not swept, towels not changed, mold in the shower, hair everywhere). No hot water and sink did not work.

Firstly, I wasn’t aware that the hotel was under construction. Which wasn’t that big of a deal however upon arriving to my room, we had no electricity. Bathroom light worked and tv but the main light was out. The bed was uncomfortable and every little move made the biggest noise.

LCD Soundsystem Concert Stay

Very cool room on the corner with great views of the ocean and New Haven! Very nice staff! The hotel is close to everything in New Haven as well as being right off the highway.

This place is a nightmare please do not stay here. Yes it’s under construction-that wasn’t the problem. The room was dirty. The furniture had stains all over it and there were rips on all the lamp shades. The bathroom was gross. The hotel felt unsafe. There were people walking around everywhere partying and being loud. The only good thing about this hotel was the service at the front desk- they were very kind even though they work in terrible conditions. Do not stay here!

I understand the hotel is under construction, but there were things that I don’t think were acceptable. The condition of the sofa, the stains on the sheets and the condition of the bathtub. The service was fine and the room was clean, but I would’ve liked to taken a shower but that tub was disgusting.

Worst experience!!!

Horrible experience lobby under construction, continental breakfast was served on tables were the rug underground was being changed but very dirty. My lampshade has holes in it and the bed was squeaky and very uncomfortable why would the Wyndham brand associate itself with this hotel, they lost all my respect. The only good thing was the staff was very friendly.

Front desk you g man (Mark) was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Elevators were not always running. The microwave in rooms made a noise that sounded like it was going to explode in all of three rooms I paid for.

We stayed at the La Quinta in Long Wharf, New Haven, CT. on Friday, September 5, 2025. It was probably one of the worst, if not, the worst hotel we ever stayed in. The front desk staff was not polite and more interested in their phones and each other than us. The lobby was being renovated but directions to the elevator wasn't evident. Our room was sparse to say the least. Not even one pictures on the walls. And very basis wood furniture. Bathroom sink had a big crack. Toilet was so low to the floor it was hard to stand up. And I felt like I was in a fast food place with the flushing mechanism - it was the kind you use your foot to flush as opposed to a handle you push. The floor in the room, not carpeted, was spotty (dirty) so obviously it was not washed between guests. I didn't even know hotels still had double beds - just ridiculous. You can't put a queen one in?? And by the way the bed should be replaced as the bed/mattress was so squeaky it was embarrassing. The curtains did not close completely and part was hanging off the rod. The TV, although a flat screen, barly worked and when it did the picture would freeze or just get ripples. I even wonder if the "leather" chair was wiped down between guess. I was afraid to even sit in it. I would not recommend your hotel and I will never stay in one again.

Renovating so it was a mess. Elevator wasn't working so they wanted us to walk up 4 flights of stairs. When we got to our room there was already someone in the room. I requested a refund because at that point we weren't staying and he said I had to go through Expedia since I didn't book straight through them...another headache. It was a horrible experience!

Loud, sketchy, & run down

This hotel was not good. The lobby was under renovation so everything was a hot mess from the start. The lady at the check in table did not really speak. It was quite awkward. The whole place really needs to be renovated because everything looked old and crusty. In the room, there was a couch that was dirty and had a hole in the middle where the springs were caving in. The bed had a noticeable dent/dip in the mattress and was essentially concave. The air wall unit was clearly broken or something because when it came on every 10 minutes it had a high pitch squeal. I paid extra for water view but very much regret it because the highway is in front of the water. Between the highway noise and the dang high pitch squeak from the air unit, I hardly slept at all. The bathroom was old and janky but honestly the nicest part of the room. I even got a slight workout squatting down on the tiny low toilet. Thank god I only had to stay here one night because even at check out there was some crazy guy flipping out screaming and making threats and the police had to come. That was scary. Honestly the whole thing was a nightmare. 0/10 do not recommend.
