So much potential. This property is great for families. They offer so much to do, including multiple pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers, and a huge interactive splashpad, a tiki style bar, and also a little cafe which is located close to the main street. It has a great location right on the beach and a 5-7 minute drive to the airport. The room sizes are wonderful with a full size fridge & oven in their kitchens and great views of the ocean from almost every room. A few things that weren't ideal- there is NO insulation between the walls of the rooms, the restroom in the room needs a major updating - it was borderline gross, and their entrance parking lot is on a hill, so checking in etc. was difficult with roller bags, then you had to proceed across the busy street to their parking garage. They've done the best they could with that situation, but people should still be aware that it could be complicated for anyone with mobility issues.

Property was a bargain for what it offered. Toilet was broken and would not flush without putting the flapper down manually. Beds were very firm but not necessarily uncomfortable. Housekeeping staff seemed to be friendly and hardworking. Property seemed dated and your typical sea side hotel that struggles with maintaining the sand and water soaked carpets from high volume of guests. Staff at check in were unhelpful and would not let me insert the apple card I reserved the reservation on into their machine for the deposit. They told me the card had to have a number visible on it. Anyone familiar with new debit/credit cards should know that a printed or embossed number are not on some of these new cards and they rely on the chip and the virtual number through the account. Despite having used this same card to reserve this hotel and having used this same card on dozens of hotels and overseas, I was at a loss. I was forced to use another card I thankfully brought with me. Upon presentation of this new card, they didn’t even check to see if it had a visible number on it and let me insert it into the machine so the chip could be read (you know the very thing the Apple/mastercard could have done). The experience soured the whole experience for me really. Petty of me perhaps to get upset by such a ridiculous thing but the coldness and lack of understanding from the staff on this issue of technology ignorance really made me to never want to consider this place again.

The hotel (resort) was fine but I had a few concerns. There was never ice in any of the ice machines (maybe add more, one on each floor). We had 3 rooms on three different floors, only the 4th floor room ever had the trash emptied or towels offered. I did like the fact that there was a broom and dust pan in the rooms to keep up with the sand and I loved the fact that the beach was so close which made it easy to get all of our things there and back nice! Also, check in was quick!
