Find a different place

I've been going to Myrtle Beach all my life and pretty much every year for the past 25 years but the first time I have ever stayed at this hotel, it was the only hotel I could find that could accommodate my large group, and this is the worst place I've ever stayed! The staff is extremely nice and that is the only good thing about this hotel! You pay a lot of money for an oceanfront hotel in June and the building we were in only had four floors so regardless of which floor you're on, you have more pool then ocean view. The beds are so lumpy and uncomfortable, feels like coils or springs are broken and you need 3 or 4 pillows just to get your head an inch off the bed and we never did get pillows for the pull-out sofa, which there isn't an actual mattress on, just more of a piece of foam There were items left over from the previous guest still in the dresser . The pool area is such a joke I didn't even go to it; it's the smallest pool I've ever see, the kiddie pool is filled with rock and the lazy river it's so small it's not even worth your time to get in. Breakfast wasn't terrible but stick to the waffles and the grab and go stuff, the 'hot' breakfast consisted of undercooked biscuits and unedible bacon and although they say breakfast is until 10, if they run out at 9:45 they don't make more. The next time I plan a beach vacation, if this is the only hotel available I would plan a different vacation location because I would not stay here again!!

This place was amazing! They have 2 pools, lazy river, and a tiki bar! The ladies who work the tiki bar are amazing and know how to make a good drink! They view was spectacular and the accessibility of the ocean from the view to actual on beach location was perfect! The staff are wonderful and the cleaning staff do absolutely wonderful jobs! Will go back and stay again!!!

Disappointed - needs maintenance!!!

Management was rude, most of staff was unfriendly. Paint was peeling off the ceiling (multiple places) and big chunks fell multiple times during our stay, maintenance severely lacking, most evenings we were not able to sit on balcony due to non-stop smell of marijuana (although we do realize that is not necessarily the fault of the hotel). We weren’t even offered/given a welcome bag. Very disappointing stay. I believe we will be looking for other accommodations going forward!

The staff was friendly and location is good and right on the beach, but the building is very dated. Bed was comfortable and ocean view was nice, but the breakfast was disappointing- partly due to the awkward and cramped setup but also for limited variety. Music from the pool area (Tiki bar and live music) made peaceful, quiet relaxation a challenge.

The room was fairly descent. Don’t think it was up to the standards as far as the price. But it was clean, didn’t have bed protection covers on the mattresses. Staff was super friendly

Overall was a nice stay, the first issue I had was the check-in person, he didn't seem very welcoming and was short, but his instructions were clear and he answered questions, our second day the housekeepers didn't at least give us fresh towels in our room while we were out. The blinds by the bed were broken and a few electric plugs were very loose and the ac filter needed to be reset or changed based on the device prompts (23 years of handyman experience to back up this claim) parking is is tight at this location so heads-up on people without backup cameras or larger vehicles there is a small parking place across the road and vehicles do not stop for you. The big plus is that you can throw a rock and hit the beach

The elevator was extremely dirty. The room looked to be updated but still dirty. The curtains were extremely dirty, the bathroom was old and not clean (hair in the tub), and the glass sliding door did not lock. The outside pool area was not clean - the chairs had dirt and stains all over them, the pool water was dirty. My 10 year old son said he did not feel safe. We immediately canceled our stay. Very disappointing - pictures and reviews on website very deceiving.

My husband and I got a little getaway. It was much needed and we enjoyed our stay. We stayed one night the room was clean. I had asked to go no higher than the fourth floor, because my husband is afraid of heights and we ended up on the ninth floor. We survived! We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the ocean view. It was great watching the sunrise and sunset. The walk on the beach was very romantic and relaxing

It’s not just the property. The employees were so kind and helpful. The front desk Tammy & Jennifer couldn’t have been any kinder to us. All the workers were great. The property needs updates but it was very clean. Also, Kirsten at the Tiki Hut was excellent. She made you feel welcome and was so kind. 😊

This was a great stay! I appreciated that the room had a cooking option and a spacious refrigerator. The beds were comfy, and the fan kept the room nice and cool. The elevators were a little slow and inconvenient. The only sad thing is that there was no hot tub - it had been filled in. The indoor pool was warmer than the outside ones. Overall, it was a more affordable option, right on the beach, which made it worth staying here.
