The room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. But the balcony was so odd. All of the balconies are enclosed, encased in glass. Totally claustrophobic. When you step out of the room onto the beautifully furnished balcony, it is hot, noisy (like an echo chamber) everyone can hear everyone else’s conversations. And what’s worse, you can see your neighbors, they are right there! The service wasn’t great. Just okay. It took about 30 minutes for us to have some teabags delivered and our room wasn’t cleaned in a timely manner (or well). The front desk staff was not welcoming or very helpful at all. In fact they were kind of smug. All that being said, I would definitely stay there again. Parking was easy, the fish and chips in the restaurant were really good, it has a great view and the location was perfect.

Probably our favorite stay in Ireland. Limerick was a delightful city to visit and Limerick Strand Hotel was a huge part of our enjoyable stay. Easy parking underneath the hotel, early check in offered at no additional cost and friendly hotel staff. Narayan was our server both nights we dined at the hotel restaurant and he was amazing! We are still amazed at how he was able to manage the entire floor seeminglt by himself.

Solid Business Hotel!

Very good stay, was there on business but got full use of the restaurant, bar, gym and pool. The restaurant was spot on with delicious fresh food. The gym is a good size but was busy, but it was 6pm. The pool is perfect and has a full selection of stream room and sauna. The room itself was a great size and full of all the amenities needed including free of charge bottled water. The bed was very comfortable and I haven't slept so well in a hotel in a long time. Breakfast had a good selection but maybe the quality of produce was lacking compared to the evening selection.

Although the other side of the River Shannon to the city it was only a short walk across the bridge. Unlike some other city hotels there not only was parking available under the hotel, but at the time we were there more than ample parking, albeit at a not insignificant cost. Our room was spacious, well decorated, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The inclusive buffet breakfast was very good and we also had a meal one night in the hotel which was good too. A very smart hotel in a lovely city.
