Budget hotel close to central train station
Staff were very good and the breakfast was a good spread (if you like toast, jam, cheese, cold meats, fruit salad, juice, tea + coffee). We stayed in a double room with private ensuite on the 4th floor. Public areas looked in good condition and had been upgraded. The lift was very slow + inside covered in contact to look like marble, hilarious! The radio in the room looked like it was from the 1970's. The room itself was a good size and had plenty of cupboard + floor space. Would have benefited from a fan as the nights were very warm even with the windows open. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom was woeful - every tile on the floor was cracked + the grout was mouldy; every time we had a shower water leaked onto the floor, causing a giant puddle. Not a comfortable situation. This room needed an immediate renovation! Overall, it was budget accommodation close to the train station. We probably would stay there again, but would also consider different hotels or accommodation options.
