Simple room with few amenities, which is exactly what we wanted. We stayed here last year on our trip to Mount Airy so there were no surprises. Convenient to downtown and lots of restaurants. Breakfast is your standard cereal, muffins, and waffles. Nothing fancy, which again, was fine with us. My only complaint this time was that housekeeping only brought us clean towels once, and that was after she knocked on the door and asked if we needed any. After that, nothing. I think thats something most people expect, even in a bare minimum hotel. Again, everything else was fine, and we wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised, from the outside you know it's an older building but my room appears to be recently renovated, look exactly like the photos online, spotless, even the bedding appears to be new. Bed extremely comfortable. The towels are adequate, not fluffy but certainly not thread bare. Frig was on and cold. My only suggestion is a small alarm clock so you know what time it is in the middle of the night. Sadly, the breakfast was disappointing, no fruit, no yogart, there was instant oatmeal but no water to make it with. Only squeeze margarine for toast, no english muffins, and didn't see any jam or peanut butter. Orange juice tasted sour. The gentlemen that checked me in was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
