The hotel was fine. It wasn’t phenomenal. The person at check in was great. She was enthusiastic and cheerful and made my family feel welcome. The cookies were a nice touch. The room was clean and the breakfast was better than most hotels.

Disappointed and let down – $400 lost due to infle

We had booked a superior room at Best Western Plus Waterbury – Stowe for July 26th, but due to an immigration-related border issue, we couldn’t cross into the U.S. I immediately contacted Hotels.com and explained the situation in good faith, hoping for flexibility. Despite multiple attempts to resolve it, the hotel refused any kind of refund, credit, or even a partial reimbursement for the $400 stay. I understand cancellation policies exist, but in 2025, customer service should account for legitimate, unavoidable circumstances—especially for international travelers who want to return. This lack of understanding and refusal to offer even a future stay credit was deeply disappointing. We were regular travelers to Vermont and had planned to return, but sadly, we’ll be avoiding this hotel—and likely recommending our Canadian friends do the same. Losing $400 may mean nothing to them, but for us, it was a frustrating and disheartening experience.

The hotel was clean and quiet. Breakfast is provided, which is appreciated. The hotel does not allow for early checkin (2:30 pm as with my experience) unless one pays a 25 dollar fee. Parking is plentiful. Hotel is close to several restaurants in Waterbury. I was offered a room that allows pets or a pet free room. I was very grateful to have a pet free room. Staff were helpful.

The hotel was clean and I would recommend! The only downfall was the continental breakfast - The breakfast was not great so we did need to go elsewhere to eat. Other than that, our stay was good!

Everything was great except the beds. Bed sizes in the 2 beds room are small. They’re full sized not queen. But breakfast,pool,views of the hotel,staffs,cleaning are great! One of the great place to stay
