The one take away, the room could not be darkened window treatment wise too much exterior site lighting could enter the room! One other note, the room refrig could have a more user friendly freezer compartment for someone interested in a muti-day stay! Will consider a follow-up stay! Thks

We've stayed at Fairfield Inn before, We've stayed at other properties by Marriott. This 1 was not worth the price, the rooms were outdated, the bathrooms weren't clean, the bedding didn't fit the bed I was an employee of Marriott and this is definitely not the standard. The toilet you had to hold the handle down to flush it. The bodywaah, shampoo, conditioner were empty.

It was my sister's 50th wedding anniversary. We had never been to Merriville, ILL before. It's a nice town the people we're friendly and courteous. The staff were very professional. We enjoyed the wedding and had a great night's sleep.❤️

The bed was not comfortable. The bathroom was worn and was not clean. The water pressure was weak. The hallway smelled weird.

It’s nothing like what I would expect from a Marriott hotel. The room is old and rundown, with the air conditioner’s cover lying on the floor. In the morning, someone tried to enter the room without knocking or announcing themselves. they just used a key card. Luckily, I had the deadbolt on, so the door didn’t open. About twenty minutes later, someone else tried to enter again without knocking, and when I shouted to ask who it was, there was no response.

Hoped it would be better

Everything in this hotel felt humid and moist, which unfortunately lead to troubled sleep. There was also two large parties staying the same night we were, and the hotel had not prepared, so breakfast options were slim.
