Find a better hotel

First room I was assigned, the door was a struggle just to get into the room, like I had to put my shoulder into the door to gain entry. The door did not close but had to “work itself” closed. Then, walking in immediately, I noticed wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off the wall and covered in mold, and someone had used the bathroom prior to my check-in. I immediately went back to reception and was assigned a different room. This one was okay but not by much. I think Crowne Plaza leadership should look at the quality of their rooms… the toilet, plumbing, wall outlets, etc. felt like I checked into a motel that charges by the hour. Also, this hotel is right by the highway, so get the pleasure of hearing every car, semi-truck, or police chase that will make sleeping a joke. For context, I stayed at the Sheraton across the street earlier this year and had a completely different experience. The only positive experience staying at this hotel was that the staff was very friendly.

Price of the buffet was adequate. Buffet was not worth $20 per person. I paid $114 a night. I stayed 2 nights and then had pay $22 to park my car. At this price I should not have to pay for parking. No microwave in the room and no hot water the first night we were there. At first look this place is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Your manger's positive attitude and personality is the only reason I did not leave after the first night.

Nice hotel with good coutesy bus.

Hotel was good overall. We did experience a problem with the toilet overflow and another with the bedside light but both were rectified immediately by maintenance. Think maybe we had one of the rooms that was not yet renovated. Staff were wonderful and the courtesy bus to take you anywhere within 3km was a great help as it's quite a walk to the main sights. I was disappointed to find that no attempt was made to be environmental, is this an american thing? Throughout uk and Europe im used to hotels giving guests the option to not have towel automatically replaced daily, for environmental reasons. Guests usually have the option to devide. This was not the case.

I had a very disappointing stay at this property. The customer service was poor from the start — the receptionist on the first day was unhelpful when I asked for basic things like water, since none was provided in the room. She simply told me no one could deliver it. The swimming pool was in terrible condition and not clean at all, which made it unusable. Overall, this was one of the worst properties I’ve stayed at, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
