The hotel is dated and the floor we stayed on smelled like cigarettes smoke. Our room was clean and fairly basic. For the price and locations, it’s not bad.

The hotel was clean, the breakfast was decent, and the front desk staff were friendly. However, there were a few disappointing issues. The blankets generated a lot of static electricity every time I moved, which was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the toilet in my room had a constant leak, causing water to run into the bowl, so I had to manually adjust the flapper after every use. We had prepaid for our stay but had to leave early due to a winter storm. We requested a refund for the unused nights, citing the weather conditions beyond our control, but the hotel ultimately declined. While we understand policies exist, it would have been appreciated if the hotel had shown more flexibility and understanding in this situation. Overall, the stay was okay, but these issues and the lack of accommodation for the weather-related early departure left us a bit disappointed.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Especially the Bernadette and Shawn from front desk. All the breakfast team are excellent too. Many of them stay over nights in the snow storm days to keep the breakfasts running well.

I am a long-time volunteer for the annual International Blues Challenge. The location is a little further from Beale Street than I usually stay (about a 14 minute walk), but otherwise the hotel is a reasonably priced option with room conveniences including refrigerator, microwave, coffee/tea maker and ironing board. It is very quiet except for 2-3 times a day when the train comes by along the river. Plenty of (paid) parking for those who need it.
