i am disabled and it took me longer than expected to drive me and my two sons on a trip after their dad passed. when i arrived i had to speak to a woman Milinia or something and she said i would have to pay for another night/ even fhough i would still check out at 11. They charged me for an entire night- so my sons and i slept in my van for two hours in their parking lot. Thanks for the memory.

Registration/check-in was handled via a machine, i.e., talking to a person who was somewhere else who handled the business even though there were other human beings present in the office. I don't like talking to a machine and felt very uncomfortable with that. When I asked for a second key card, the person on the kiosk tried to issue one but couldn't and she asked a "live" person to get me one; however, that card never worked. Room was in the back but was noisy.

I've stayed here a few times visiting my daughter at SOU. The Hotel is close to campus and a great coffee shop, CASE and a great lunch spot Sammich accross the street. For one of the cheaper hotels in town I find this place to be a great value. It's reasonably clean and once you get used to dealing with the remote staff on an ipad (who are very friendly) it's fine dealing with them. Pool is nice and if you visit the attached mexican restaurant, which is decent Family style mexican food, they will serve you drinks/food poolside resort style. Only negative is the key cards constantly lose their programming and need to be replaced, which is easily accomplished by the check in robot.

Clean and comfy for one night stay alone. Noisy area so I left the air conditioner on all night and slept great. Faucet in the sink is needing to be reconnected, let the staff know, it was like that when I arrived. Breakfast did the trick.

You have to check in and out on a terminal manned (womaned?) by a clerk in the Philippines. Property has a good location. It's clean and everything worked. I stayed there a second time on the return trip because it was good value for the money.

The location was great if you are going to OSF! I think they were in transition of new management when I stayed. They were nice but I was told to talk to a kiosk when the manager was right there in person, the pool did not work and the breakfast was raisin bagels or waffles - no other food really. All in all it was fine but I probably would have picked somewhere else had I know all of that.

We enjoyed our time at Prospero's Flagship Inn. The location was good - right across the street from SOU, and walkable distance (~1 mile) to downtown. There were a few things that threw us off though: 1) there was virtual check-in and check-out. There was a big monitor in the front office and a woman talked to us through the screen to check us in and out. It was a little disconcerting. There was no in-person interaction in the front office. 2) The breakfast was OK. The waffle machine broke often. There was no attendant (and no one in the office), so we had to find additional yogurts in the back kitchen. There was comraderie at breakfast as we all worked together to fend for ourselves. I would stay at Prospero's again, but I think it's good for folks to know about these two parts of the experience.
