Room 209 was a terrible experience. The shower leaks, and water actually started seeping up through the floor. To make matters worse, we found a poodle in the room when we arrived. We informed the front desk, and a manager came to inspect the water, asking if we had spilled anything ourselves, clearly not the case. The room was dirty, smelled of mold, and the furniture was falling apart. They also overcharged my credit card $167 instead of the $107 I had paid through Expedia. Although they did issue a refund after I pointed it out, it felt dishonest and makes me wonder how often this happens. If you’re paying at the hotel, double-check your charges. I can’t recommend this place, and I truly don’t understand how it qualifies as a 3-star hotel.

The property is dated and could use some renovations but within walking distance of dining and shopping. No swimmable beach but a nice clean pool area. Staff was excellent even with our limited Spanish. Room and breakfast area were clean and comfortable. We had a car but could see that taxi and bus service was close by.
