Under HUGE Reno...Hotels.com failed...great staff

This a tough one. The Hotel is going through a major renovation...All rooms and public spaces including the Lobby and Amenities. None of this was listed on Hotels.com...so the Pool I was looking forward to was closed. The Suite I was in was falling apart...beyond the end of its lifespan for furniture and fixtures and construction was not just loud but banging...that said, the room was immaculate, the staff were very friendly and the issues with the room's disrepair are currently being addressed with a full reno...and the inaccuracies of the Hotels.com listing I think are Hotels.com's responsibility to have updated and correct. So it's a wash for a review I think...if the hotel was NOT undergoing a reno I would have said that the room was a dump...the same room in the pictures but the pictures are very old. I would stay here again when the reno is complete and I would hope that the hotel's owner decides to refresh the newly remodeled rooms sooner than the 17 years that was the last time my room had an update...when the hotel was built. Also, dog safe salt on sidewalks is a suggestion as I have a service animal and the salt was brutal...it's more money, so the lots and drive can go without, but the sidewalks should have dog safe salt. (I live in NYC where the Port Authority and our local sidewalks are all salted with dog safe salt)

I was disappointed when I arrived at the hotel because they were under renovations. I wish when booking the reservation they would have made it known, because I would have chosen to stay somewhere else. The fitness center was closed and the common areas were clearly in the middle of a renovation. Again, Expedia should have alerted me. This is the first time that I’ve been unhappy with a stay booked through Expedia.

The front desk was unhelpful and unresponsive after we checked in. The lobby was boarded up and under construction. We chose this hotel over others around for the pool for my daughter- it was closed with no warning or notice. Then our room had a dirty towel in it. Genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Well it’s not the properties fault, they were under construction, and had the floor on my floor, floor 3, 310 exactly, and then some guy tried robbing the storage container and shot a cop, it’s was on the news

We were in town for an event and stayed one night. We were unaware the property was under major renovations from 8a-7p however it didn’t really bother us. The breakfast was a cold/ grab and go breakfast (cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels) which was a little disappointing. The staff were amazing though and deserve the 5 star ratinf. The room was big and very clean, hotel was located close to stores and restaurant and right off the highway. Once the renovations are complete, this hotel will be exceptional. All of the amenities are currently unavailable to guests however there was an option to go to a hotel close by for use of their pool. We didn’t need the amenities so it wasn’t a big deal to us but worth mentioning for others as the renovations look like they will take a while to complete.

Great Stay Considering

Overall, would definitely stay in this hotel again. We picked it for its low price when we had a family emergency and needed to stay in the area for the night. When we arrived late night, their system seemed to be not working, but despite that the receptionist Cici was so upbeat and polite. We went while they are undergoing a big reno. We got upgraded to a newer room with a couch, the room didnt even seemed to be used yet which was nice. It does look like some of the renos have been rushed though. Theres paint on the outlet covers, no hooks on the back of the bathroom door, and the outlets next to the bed didnt work properly. There also wasnt any drawers to store clothing items. Breakfast was very disappointing, again due to the renos, and only had a small offering of not so fresh items. I couldnt find a working ice maker on the 4th floor either. I appreciated the quiet, especially with our 5 month old in tow, and the king bed was probably one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. Hooefully after the renos are complete this will be a five star place.

Arrived to this place under construction. The drive way in is in an odd position to the main road. Right turn in a right turning curve. The room was barely finished. Construction dust on paintings, fingerprints everywhere. Multiple things with no power, tv with one channel. In room Coffee did not work. Bathroom had fixtures but bare and unfinished. Room was pretty sparse and small. Pillows on bed were the size of a couch throw pillow. Heating was inconsistent in the room. Doors were difficult to open. The breakfast was just sweet rolls, with no attendance from staff. Also seemed to have been picked over, only decaf coffee as well. Blaise attitude from staff with a “ it is what it is” attitude, giving the feeling that obviously many guests were disappointed of the property. Hammers didn’t start until 8am but large construction equipment being driven around at 6:30am. Would be okay if you were on a road trip and just needed to stop for a rest/sleep but not an extended time. Police cruising through parking lot at various times at night did not give a vote of confidence as well We arrived around 5:30pm on the first night with a plan of staying 3 nights total. Checked out by 9am with another hotel booked in town.

The hotel is under renovations. The room we stayed in was outdated and the walls marked up and dirty The drain in the shower and sink drain extremely slow. The pillows flat offer no support. The room sheets and pillow cases made my son break out in a rash. The heater makes strange noises all night and the room smelled funny. The staff was great, but I will never stay there again. I will also check other reviews before just trusting hotel.com
