We were not in the hotel very much, but were thankful for its very food location. Not in the craziness of El Centro but close enough. Rooms had carpeted floors which gave a dirty appearance. They were also quite hot (no AC in the winter) but it was quite noisy outside to open window. They offered a fan but overall these led to a very good, but not great, stay.

This is our second stay this year at the Mariposa. A lovely hotel, with fantastic staff. Great location, 5 minute walk from centro station and 10 minute walk from Harbour and al the bars and restaurants. Also has a nice rooftop bar.

Location: Perfect for exploring the city on foot. Easy walk to old town and only a short 15 min walk from the train station. Hotel: Appears newly renovated with modern amenities. Rooms: Had a large suite with equiped kitchen and a seperate seating area. Plenty of space for lobger stays. Staff: Wonderful. Quick check in and they provided good info on restaurants. I would certainly stay here again.
