I really enjoyed this hotel, it was very comfy with great bathroom lighting. The bed was a dream every night and we loved it. I loved that we could walk up and down the stairs so easily to get to the lobby. The breakfast on the rooftop was fabulous too. Many food options to select from, good latte's and an awesome view over looking Atocha train station. The location was great, we could walk to Retiro Park and restaurants for a late night bite. It was also very easy to grab a taxi into town for an affordable price. I actually had money leftover from this trip. I enjoyed how busy the hotel was with places to eat inside the restaurant. Offering lemon water at the front desk was a great way to stay hydrated in our room. The staff was kind and helpful. I will return to Madrid and when I do 'Only You Hotel' will be my hotel of choice.

Not really worth it, great location though

I contacted the hotel prior to our stay and was told we were more than welcomed to check in early due to our plane landing early. Once we came to check in, we were turned away and told to wait 2 half hours, luckily they held our bags. I understand if we weren’t allowed to check in early, my problem is being told we were allowed and being turned away immediately walking in. If we were told it wouldn’t be possible, we would have made other plans. As for the service, if you don’t speak Spanish you will not be met with a warm welcome. I greeted in English (my fault) and they immediately turned to my spouse and greeted him in Spanish (we are fluent in both English and Spanish) I started speaking in Spanish and was still ignored..even though the reservation were made under my name. The room itself was nice and clean, and everything needed for a stay. I enjoyed the vanity area of the room until I noticed that a broken part of the table was cracked and fixed with putty and paint..not a big deal until my shirt was stained. I understand they need to fix damages, and don’t mind living with them, but a warning would have been great. I didn’t feel comfortable letting the front desk aware of my experience because of the prior interactions. I now have a ruined shirt. Over all, it’s a beautiful hotel, located in a great part of Madrid. I wish the front desk service matched the aesthetic. We loved the location and will be back, but not to this hotel.

We stayed one night at the hotel in February on arrival from our home in Canada. We are seniors and not very familiar with phone SIM cards. We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon and my wife needed to call her mother in Canada - her mother is 101. We asked the hotel about purchasing SIM cards. They indicated that the nearest store was far away but that they could provide SIM cards. The concierge was very helpful and although not familiar with SIM card types, she eventually was able to get 2 SIM cards through Verizon and indicated that we should pay cash not VISA - of Eur 40 for each. When passing a Verizon store a day or so later we were advised by the store that the card was available for Eur 15 each. We queried the hotel who advised that the difference in price was their (large) profit margin Obviously we are disappointed with the high cost but learned our lesson - do not ask the hotel to get us SIM cards.

Very quirky and stylish hotel. Great touches in the room, with free canned water and luxurious robes. The outside of Atocha station was under construction at the time so loads of traffic and difficult access.

The property overall was nice and the room good. Right across from Atocha train station. Lobby was nice with options for coffee/drinks. Room was comfortable. The reason I give 4 stars is that the wireless did not work - for myself or my husband - and was told at the front desk that it was our problem. The other issue was that our room was warm - too warm and could not cool it down.
