The hotel is in the midst of a much needed facelift. Pool was closed. Patio to watch sunset was under construction. You could hear drilling in our room midday (but not at night). Had issue with the AC and had to call front desk at 2am. This is a very old hotel and you can tell. Staff were lovely though. We got an early check in which was very nice.

All was good/excellent, especially all the reception as well as restaurant staff. Connecting to the internet was a nightmare as the system would not accept my hyphenated name. Swimming pool is dirty and cold. Staff at front desk was not cooperative at all. When we spoke to manager (QUSSAY) he only gave us excuses that didn’t make any sense and did not try to rectify the situation at all. I’m not going to stay at this hotel again.

Not your typical Marriott stays. This hotel is pretty old and scruffy on the edges. The bathrooms and carpets are old and look it. In desperate need of renovation. The spa services on the other hand were very good.
