This place was GREAT... I do not have a SINGLE complaint from my stay here. RIGHT off the highway. Couldn't be much easier. And noise-wise, I never noticed. I was here to mountain bike; It was less than a 15 minute drive to East Burke (and Mike's Tiki Bar :) . There are SO MANY things within single-digit minutes (gas, food, liquor store, etc.) The place isn't overly fancy, but nothing like some of the seedy, frightening cheap hotels I've visited. I encountered a handful of different people at the office, and every one was polite and helpful. My ROOM was CLEAN. Everything in it was functional. This place does seem older, and it has carpeting; yes, there was a bit of an odd/potentially smoky scent when I first entered, but nowhere NEAR some of the smoke-holes I've stayed at. Within an hour I forgot about it. The white sheets, white pillow cases, white towels in my room were ALL clean. They did not smell. They were not stained. I felt zero apprehension using them. A couple things this place actually surprised me with, for the price, was a microwave as well as a fridge (hey, some expensive hotels I've stayed at don't even have microwaves). Also, a complimentary breakfast each day of your stay, which was honestly ADORABLE. A place this affordable and this acceptable has been hard to find lately in my experience. If I needed a hotel in this area again and had my dog in tow, I wouldn't even bother/risk looking elsewhere. Give them your business.

For a few thousand dollars, this place could be much better. Given the price in this expensive area during the leaf season, it was just barely OK. Our room stunk so badly we had to buy room deodorizer to make it tolerable. The outside of the building is simply rundown and shabby. This is not expensive to fix. Our room had old drapes that have absorbed cigarette smoke and retain it. The ceiling had two poorly done patches. But he property was quiet with no evidence of drugs or homeless. It just needs to be operated by someone who knows how to run this business.

No frills, but decent location, easy to find and pet friendly. I was going to Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury so this location was very convenient. Staff was friendly, helpful and there was flexibility with scheduling. I felt safe enough there that if I needed something, staff would be helpful. I didn’t eat the breakfast because I have strict dietary needs but the coffee was good. :) I would stay there again in the future.

Parking lot needs repaving. Hard to park motorcycles next to room as spaces contain many divots and uneven and hilly bumps in them. I know that’s an expensive endeavor. Everything’s else about the property, conveniences, staff etc is extremely superb!! 5 stars!!!! 😊
