Peaks of Otter Lodge is always enjoyable to visit. The room is clean and very relaxing. The scenery is beautiful and so nice-trail around the lake is excellent. We stay here often as we can-would highly recommend it.

Tucked into the mountains and overlooking a small lake, this is a very special place to stay. It's perfect if you want to continue your national park experience overnight, but prefer a very comfy bed over a tent. I can't recall the last time I encountered such warm, welcoming staff. They helped make this a very memorable part of our travels and we hope to return soon.

Peaks of Otter is a very special lodge off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s a great place for a family with Adirondack chairs by a beautiful pond and an easy walking trail. The rooms and restaurant have biews of the pond as well.

Love this area!! They are very limited in staff for dining & housekeeping. Be prepared to wait, be out of menu items, persist in getting towels, rooms not ready after you walk in to them. But the waitress, bartenders are wonderful yet stretched thin

We liked our stay. The blinds did not go up and because some strings were frayed and there was a bit of mold in the bathroom. They view was wonderful and we saw lots of deer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. People that work there are supper friendly.

We had three nights at Peaks of Otter Lodge. We loved the nostalgic feel to the lodge. Rooms aren't fancy here. But very clean. And the view from every room is stunning. The grounds were well manicured. Such a peaceful place. The restaurant staff was wonderful. The food was delicious. We are so glad we chose this beautiful place to celebrate our 45th anniversary.

Very nice place to stay if you’re looking for a little mountain getaway! The views itself makes this little treasure well worth it. The staff were outstandingly kind and helpful during our stay. The rooms themselves remind me of camping lodges, but that honestly just adds to the outdoorsy feeling. The food was good too. Now the road closures weren’t my favorite so plan accordingly as it took us an extra hour to get there lol. Overall, would totally come back!

We had a very quick overnight stay, and did arrive fairly late. Even though we had contacted the hotel that we were coming, we still had to wait a good 10 minutes for any staff member to check us in. The hotel rooms were dated but clean. The location is BEAUTIFUL. Overall it worked fine for what my family needed for the evening..

We had a fabulous stay at Peaks of Otter Lodge. It’s a great place, but what made it better was the front desk person, Emma. We stayed there during a 7 day Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway bike ride. She actually called me while I was in the middle of a 12 mile uphill to see if we’d need anything when we arrived. When we met at the desk she was welcoming and gave us local knowledge about roads, trails, etc. and was a delight to talk to. She was able to help us with specific requests which made our travels so much easier. Restaurant and bar service and food really good.

The staff were great and the views amazing, but the actual accommodations were not good. The walls are thin and we heard everything in the rooms beside and above us. The wifi does not work in the rooms which we were told has been a problem "for years" and there is no cellphone service.
