This property needs updating, walkway had a large bump that was easily a tripping issues with no notice it was there, ice machine by room not functioning, cob webs all around it hanging from ceiling, elevator dirty and smelled old, as did the rooms, smelled like wet sour carpet, smoke alarms going off constantly throughout the hotel, around 930 10pm it kept going off for extended periods of time, in the middle of the night it went off twice waking us from sleep. When I spoke with hotel desk they said " yes its a big problem we are trying to get fixed Sorry" Screen door was broken, box fan that was suppled for room was very dirty. Went to breakfast at 845am and No Food had to ask kitchen help if they were making more breakfast, coffee was empty, they were obviously not very organized and very grumpy. Took a bit to get prepared food out to the warmers, food was subpar. Overall would we stay again NO

Good enough. Saved by view/beach access.

Stayed for our wedding anniversary weekend. Room was clean with a nice view. A little rough around the edges if you pay attention. Nothing fancy so I'm guessing I paid for the view. Had a handful of annoyances that could drive some people crazy, but my wife and I tried to find humor in it all. Bathroom fan sounded like a broken down helicopter. But there are signs saying it must be left on or smoke alarms will go off from shower steam. All the room alarms are connected so if someone 20 rooms down takes too steamy of a shower, your alarm is blaring. Which happened. Several times. Day and night. Room keys stopped working after first night. Got new room keys and only 1 worked. Continental breakfast was a zoo. Not so much the hotels fault, mainly full of large groups with no social awareness. Still was able to enjoy our time but far from luxury. Better suited for family vacation than romantic getaway. Also be aware cars are allowed on the beach and some drive like jerks.

The only issue we had was that the alarm kept going off all night on our second night. It is noted in every room that bathroom doors need to be closed to shower cause it will set the alarm and it sets it for the whole building. So I don’t know if that’s what happened or what. But that was frustrating. Overall great hotel though, great view, walking distance to the beach which is nice with kids!

Very easy walk to beach, nice pool, lots of available activities and fire pits were the best parts. Breakfast was fine, but they ran out of everything one morning before we arrived. The hair dryer and screen door were both broken in our room, and the smoke detectors kept going off from other guests’ showers, so definitely could use a little TLC, but we had a great visit and would return.

The provided breakfast was a nice addition, even though it was a sold out weekend the staff was friendy and kept the food coming out as fast as they could. The pool area has been well maintained over the years. The dry sauna was fantastic with a small 4 person adult only hot tub and 7 foot deep pool, staff keeps a close eye on the area so it was always a lleaant experience. Our condo had nice upgrades and we found the beds comfortable. The couch and chair both become beds and our adult children home from college were able to sleep comfortably. The resort itself is rught at dunes and has plenty of amazing outdoor activities or just a quick 2 minute drive to cute downtown area of Long Beach.

We enjoyed the location. However, they have a serious issue with their smoke alarms. They went off once when our toddler was napping and then AGAIN 3x in the middle of the night, 10pm, 1am, and 4am. They’re very loud and obnoxious. They have signs in the rooms saying this will happen if guests shower with the doors open. This system needs to be updated. We got very poor sleep. In addition, we went to breakfast on Sunday at 7:30am, most all the food and coffee were gone and we waited a while to be restocked, but nothing was. The location was great, but we wouldn’t stay again.

This is an older hotel with a view of the beach. Mostly our complaint would be that there was a sign outside of the bathroom stating that the door had to stay closed during and after showering or the steam would set off the alarms throughout the hotel. Other than that, the rooms were not as quiet as we would like. The staff was friendly and as we were leaving, the manager told us that they are building a restaurant there along with the Pickleball court.

Great view. Comfortable. Noisy outside, even into the evening. Few amenities and lack of outlets in room to plug in electronics. Breakfast was tasty but terrible ambiance and setup in breakfast room.
