The room was spotless and beautifully furnished; the bathroom was modern with plenty of shampoo, soap etc. The hotel itself has kept the charm of its age but with modern facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful, particularly when we had trouble locating the car park. We had a full english breakfast which was plenty for us.

My room was absolutely lovely. A very cosy single with a comfy bed, great radio and TV, tea and coffee facilities and a brilliant shower and bathroom. It was all fantastically clean and I was very impressed. Also all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Finally, although I don't eat much at breakfast, the scrambled eggs and tomato was delicious. I wish I could have gone of the Welsh breakfast!

The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped. I loved the DAB radio on the bed side. Nice touch. I prefer to listen to music/ podcasts/ audio books when staying away for work. I was welcomed by the lady on reception as though I was a friend, not a guest. Certainly, the cheeriest greeting I have ever had when checking in. The car park is a little tight but there are plenty of public car parks really close. The restaurant was nice, with a good, varied menu and breakfast was top quality

Great hotel with lovely food, nice staff and the rooms are lovely. Some TLC on the corridors and stairs but be beneficial for the appearance. They are looking rather warn (carpets and paint) Overall a lovely stay. Thanks

The,Royal Oak is an old Hotel. So things need a little updating. However our room had everything posh hotels have. Beds very comfortable. Lovely white clean towels and bedding. Tea & coffee making facilities etc. We had pur evening meal in the their restaurant and it was very nice. The breakfast was all locally sourced and off a really good quality. The staff were very friendly and polite. We need to support our independent Hotels.
