The hardware of this hotel is good but staff are not very customer oriented except for the front office manager called Candy. She's very helpful and has very good customer service skills. Avoid rooms facing entrance, its very noisy at night because other tourists are dragging their luggage onto the stone pavement right outside the entrance . Our room came with breakfast but it is not worth getting up for. The breakfast room is not inside the hotel and is down the road in another building. Also food quality is bad and kitchen staff do not refill empty food containers so if you arrived late, there is nothing to eat.
Location wise this hotel is actually ok. However, if their room price go any higher, I would definitely check in the intercontinental hotel across the street instead.
Unimaginable things for a five star hotel...horrib
In the begining seemed wonderfull.
they "upgraded" my room no extra charge because i wanted a bathtub...and then.... No hot water for the tub, they tried to fix it, couldn't. I asked again and was answered"we take care later" they didn't...so no tub+cold shower... Thanx.. A/c barely working, toilets didn't flush... If not that the room is actually beautiful...i asked to check out late, also no problem... But then... When i checked out the lady found a noodle drop on the blankets, literally a drop ! I ate noodles, im allowed! Wash it! They demanded 100usd for it and only after i made a big scene, brought the blankets to reception and showed to guests checking in how they are trying to rip me off the management told the clerk to give me my deposit back and check me out... Horrible experience...
From the time we contacted the hotel, to leaving we could not fault the service we received. It really made our stay here special. The hotel is quite new and is very tastefully done, with lots of nice touches. The room was a little dark but this was made up for in so many other ways.
We didn't eat dinner there, but really enjoyed the breakfasts, which gave us a good start to the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and the wonderful staff who work there.
Can not fault this lovely hotel, staff extremely attentive and helpful right from being picked up at airport. Beautiful rooms, clean with everything you might require. The advice given to us about the places to visit in and around Lijiang ensured we got the most out of our stay which was too short.
The hotel is very well finished and the ruins are quite nice. The hotel has a very relaxing design with finishings that look brand new. The female staff is very friendly and helpful, and they will pick you up at the entrance to the old city which is very important if you have luggage. The location is perfect; in the old city but a bit away from the noisy tourist section. The only complaint is the manager is a bit strange and either doesn't know the area well or was intentionally misleading us when we asked for info in things like getting to tiger keeping gorge. Also I don't recommend the breakfast as it is fairly sparse and takes forever; my coffee was literally about 5oz.
Great hotel if you want to stay in lijiang old town. Staffs are super friendly and really try to make your stay pleasant. The only problem I have is the hotel doesn't provide a map with the hotels location. So it was hard to find the hotel particularly at night. But of the western hotels this one is closest to the old town.
The stufe wete very nice and helpfull.
The hotel is located near the south gate. The hotel provides an electric car to drive the tourists from the gate of the old town to the hotel.
The hotel rate is very high.
