Last minute stay!

Fantastic last minute night away. Less than 15 miles from where we live but that didn't matter as the stay was lovely. Lovely staff, good facilities, lovely well maintained ground and a delicious breakfast.

Excellent accommodation huge bath nice comfy couch wifi, not great hot water was a pain. I requested heating turned on for arrival and it was the cosy staff at reception were friendly did call for earlier arrival and was told there would be a charge 👎 and also asked to stay an extra night and thought maybe get a small discount but was quoted top dollar suffice to say we drove home all in all good holiday cottage would highly recommend

The area and the staff were really nice. We got a standard room and it felt a bit poor and cheap looking, but it is fair enough as we paid a cheap price to stay. However, they provide everything that is needed in the room and the set of towels and robes are a plus! I'd recommend to stay here.

I booked this late break, as my husband is recovering from a heart attack over Xmas and new year. It looked and read as wonderful so I went ahead and booked. When we arrived we were told it was the Gate House we were in! Unfortunately this house was caught in a Time Warp! Definitely not worth the money I paid. Very tired and dated, furniture and furnishings faded, ripped and very badly in need of a complete refurbishment

Had a super character cottage which suited us perfectly. Nice walks, swimming pool, sauna, snooke, golfr etc.

Excellent , a home away from home

Been many times. A hidden jem. Lots of different types and sizes of accomodation. Swimming pool, putting, snooker, toddler soft play, woods, horses, rabbits, wildlife. Lovely estate for walks. Bistro. Private. Great for kids. 20 minutes from St Andrews.

Decent enough

Trip for my Birthday with family, stunning location and grounds. Thought I had booked a lodge but turned out I had booked an apartment. Big & Spacious and had decent amenities. Mature decor which fitted with the theme of the property. My only complaint with every short break is the check in and check out times. 4.30 Check in and 10am Check out when you are only there Friday to Sunday is very short in terms of real time at the estate. (I know for a charge you can extend this) - but its an over all bugbear wherever we go. Beautiful gardens directly outside our property and the swimming pool was at the bottom of the staircase and the wee shop. Overall a decent enough short weekend away.

The castle is set in a beautiful estate and has many facilities such as sauna, pool and equestrian centre. our room was very clean and comfortable and near to the bistro where we had our evening meal and a delicious breakfast the next morning. the receptionist was very helpful and we even met the owner of the castle who showed us around the main restaurant. Naturally, as befitting a castle, it has lots of character. We only had one night but are planning on going back. The castle is nearby many fascinating east Fife villages for wandering around.
