Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
My experience was dreadful. When we got to the hotel, we were upgraded for $25 dollars to a better room. That is about the only good thing that was offered at this hotel. First, our upgraded room had a less-than subpar air conditioning. When we arrived on Tuesday, we immediately put the A.C to 60, the air temp went up to 79 degrees while set to 60. After we called the front desk, someone came into our room who barely spoke English and replaced the air filters. That did nothing! I like to sleep in a cold room, but this is unacceptable for a hotel that costs as much as it did. Second, our toilet didn’t even flush correctly. We had to figure out how to flush this toilet in a certain way because the switch was completely broken! Third, the food was not very good. We ate at the A.Y.CE. buffet, it wasn’t very good and all the food was either cold or didn’t taste like what it costs to get in. We ate at the Serrano Vista Cafe, it was less than subpar. It didn’t taste like anything special, I think we could have gotten higher quality food at the local Cracker Barrel! Also, the other restaurants were either over a hundred dollars a person or were either closed or too busy to eat in. Finally, the last problem we had was the casino. I’m not a gambler, but still we went through multiple different hotels throughout Las Vegas and they didn’t have any of the problems that the Palms had. The problem of the smoke smell and the noise were just a little of the issues there. Please do better.
