Wonderful stay for a weekend

Overall, this was an excellent stay. We booked for a couple of nights so we could attend a family celebration locally and it was very handy and very comfortable. The setting is lovely and our apartment was excellent, having more facilities than we expected (dishwasher and washing machine) and possibly the biggest bathroom of any hotel room we have ever stayed in! The only (very minor niggle) was that the shower head dripped incessantly - even when we checked that it had been switched off properly, there was a drip. Apart from that, we we very happy and are considering coming back to make the most of a “proper” stay where we can explore the area better.

I was disappointed by the response from the receptionists here when I informed them twice about the hot water in our shower being cut off for two evenings throughout our short stay here. When I informed the receptionists they seemed to be aware of this issue already with apartment one. Still putting us in this apartment despite a known issue made me and my mum feel that we didn’t get the standard of stay others may have had. Nobody should have to skip two showers at a luxury hotel. This did dampen our perspective of the overall stay. The waiters/servers were wonderful so thank you to them, although we won’t be returning.
