Beware. potential guests...Tahoma Lodge has been closed for 2 years, yet it's website still remains up and booking rooms . They are still advertising on Expedia and other online rental sites. When I arrived at the lodge for my 3 night stay, I found the entire facility closed and boarded up, swimming pool emptied, no one on site to speak to. I was told by Lake Tahoe locals near Tahoma that it was a scam. DO NOT attempt to reserve a room at this place. No longer exists. This is fraud!!

This property is boarded up and abandoned. There is caution tape around the walkways and NO TRESPASSING signs all around. According to the local post office they shut down in November 2917. This should be removed from your website ASAP!!!

Relaxation
Wanted to explore western shore of Lake Tahoe-- no camping sites available and decent hotels in south lake. This was the perfect combination of hotel amenities in an outdoor setting. The pool & jacuzzi were pristine, as was our 2 bdrm cabin. Cool places to eat or grab coffee 5 minute walk from our cabin,or we could jump on the lake transit bus. Great location! Staff very attentive!

We had pleasant time at Tahoma lodge. There is a market very close by and good pizza restaurant right next to the cabins. I would love to go back again!

Really comfortable stay with my kids
I stayed there with my three kids. The suite was very comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. The best part of the stay was the staff. Juaquin and Chris were so helpful! My truck was stuck in the snow and they each helped me on eperate occassions. Would go back anytime.

Misled reservation
I searched the hotel under 3 bdrm requirement. Expedia showed that the Jeffrey duplex in this hotel has 3 bdrms, 1 King bed, 1 Queen Bed, and 3 twin bed and a sofa bed to house a total of 6 guests. I booked this hotel with that expectation in mind. When we checked into Jeffrey duplex late at night due to severe weather on Dec. 23rd, we found that there is only 1 bdrm with a Queen bed, one full size bed and a twin bed in a half bdrm upstairs that is open to the downstairs living room. Due to the room construction, Jeffrey duplex has a strange acoustic problem between the half bedroom and the living room. And due to lack of available beds, one of us had to sleep in the sofa bed for the duration and having trouble with the noise interference with upstairs people. To make situation worse, on the day of Christmas eve, 2nd day of our arrival, the unit's heater system broke down. Although the lodge manager tried very hard to fix the problem, we had to rely on firewood to heat up the unit in freezing cold weather but suffered with smokes from the stove for the remaining two days of our stay. The manager was kind enough to refund one of the night's fee to us as part of the compensation for our suffering. We had to try hard to make the best out of the bad accommodation experience.
