Be just steps away from La Jolla’s quieter Windansea beach when you stay at this beautiful newly renovated surf nest decorated in a boho mid century beach theme. Spend the day at the beach, just two blocks away, or at the home’s private pool. In addition to being just 2 blocks from the beach, you’ll be close walking distance to La Jolla and Bird Rock restaurants, coffee, cafes, shops, and a Sunday morning Farmer’s Market. There are also nearby trails, caves, and seals to check out.

The one story home features 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom with king size bed opens out to the pool. Another bedroom, with queen size bed, looks at a private patio. Third bedroom offers twin bunk bed plus trundle rollout twin, to sleep 3 separately, and opens to its own private patio. in addition to air conditioning and heating, each room also have quiet high speed ceiling fans.

The main living areas include a spacious living room with plenty of seating and a large flat screen tv. Dining room includes a large table with seating for six and a fireplace. Desk and chair and extra rolling computer tray are available for remote workers. Living and dining areas walk out to a private patio with pool, outdoor dining table and chairs, barbecue grill, and fireplace.

The newly updated kitchen offers all appliances including stove, oven, microwave oven, filtered water, refrigerator with water and ice dispenser, coffee maker, dishwasher, and many pots, pans, utensils, cooking and pantries supplies you may need.

The home is equipped with extra linens, towels, beach towels, and beach umbrella. It is also stocked with toiletries and a hair dryer. As well as cards, games, puzzles, books, and DVD movies. The laundry room is available with a washing machine, dryer, detergent, iron, and ironing board.

Fir those traveling with babies, we have a new Graco pack-n-play with sheets, that also has a bassinet feature for younger babies.

Three parking spots are provided and plenty of parking in front.

- The pool is not heated
- No smoking in or on property.
- There are 3 steps to enter the property. There is 1 step into a shower. Which might not make the home suitable for everyone.
- Pet friendly fenced in yard

This is a fabulous property. We loved the location being minutes (walking) from the ocean. The house was immaculate and had all the amenities we needed. It was quiet and comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious and equipped with appropriate linens and storage space. There were areas that we could gather and all be together. Communication with the host was timely and efficient. Really enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. The checkin process was very easy and self-explanatory. The house is beautiful with beautiful tree lines along the street. The walk to the beach is a breeze and the property has beach chairs for use as well as beach towels. We enjoyed the board games in the evenings with our young children. We really enjoyed our stay at The Surf Nest! The house is beautiful and is in a prime location between Bird Rock and Windansea. The neighborhood is quiet, and you’re less than 2 blocks from the ocean and a prime sunset viewing spot! Our hosts were very communicative and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again, and fully recommend it to others!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Surf Nest. Melanie is the best host. Check-in and check out is very easy. The house is always very clean and the pool/patio area is very nice. The bedrooms are spacious along with the kitchen and family room. The house is only a two block walk to the Windandsea Beach. We walked down most nights to watch the sunset. Beautiful way to end your day. Restaurants and coffee shops are an easy walk and the highways are not too far of a drive. We absolutely love the Surf Nest and look forward to our next visit!!

This surf nest is AMAZING! It is close to Windandsea Beach. We walked down every night to watch the sunset. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The grill and pool area is private and perfect for a BBQ. This is our second stay there and we will be back again in the Spring.

Property is wonderful and was perfect for my wife and I as I had work in the area for a week. Loved the short walk to the beach and the outdoor area with a fireplace was just what the doctor ordered to wind down while enjoying dinner outside. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could want as we cooked in most nights, they even have an Instapot which was an added bonus. Bedrooms are well appointed, one with a memory foam queen mattress more on the firm side and the other extremely soft king bed in the master.We are headed back in March for another business trip and were disappointed that it was already booked.
