Great Choice in Ao Nang

After reading a few negative reviews we tried to change our booking to the Bluesotel SMART adults only, I’m so glad we didn’t end up switching because this location is far closer to the restaurants and shops, a short walk to the beach and we had a fantastic stay! The rooms are modern and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the balcony facing the pool was lovely. The pool area actually looks much nicer than the pictures and we spent a lot of time there— especially at happy hour where the cocktails are buy one get one free. You can order food to your lounge chairs and if was all really good—especially the pizza. We found the staff very friendly and really enjoyed our week here.

The property is in need of renovation as some areas paint was coming off the walls… The staff at reception & pool were so helpful & friendly.. cocktails great during the many happy hours offered by hotel. Our room was a standard double room with pool access, however we couldn’t access the pool from our room nor see it, it was basically a water stream off our balcony & a wall facing us. A few challenges communicating with the hotel beforehand over linking our two bookings.. The cost attached to this was high as we had booked different room types.

There was best case water damage, worst case mildew in the ceiling of my room. There was some mold in the shower and bathtub. Only reason I’m giving a 3 is because the staff are very nice, the pool area is great and it’s central.

Housekeeping cleaning was done at a high standard, however, was often done quite late at around 5pm which was inconvenient for us. The shower was very slow to drain and would pool easily. The toiletries provided were very minimal and felt like budget quality. The staff were friendly. The hotel is located close to the main beach on a street of many restaurants and shops.

Bathroom wasn't very clean. Mold and mildew in shower. Shower drain doesn't work that well either and made the water go all over the bathroom. They probably could have fixed it, but we weren't there long and didn't really stay in our room as we were out and about

Was great to stay here, good food, nice room, nice pool. The staff was great, they helped us rent scooters, book transportation, very helpful and made everything relaxing and smooth. The best part is this hotel is in a really awesome location, close to great restaurants, laundry, shopping markets, and the beach. The rooms are located far enough from the road that they are still quite at night. It made our stay in Krabi an awesome experience and I would highly recommend to anyone else.

Nice enough place to stay, we had a swim out room, nice extra. The pool was coooold! Not sure how they kept it so cold when it was so hot out lol. Not too cold to get in, but it took a bit. Refreshing to say the least. Lovely staff, breakfast was nice, central location, able to walk most places in town with no trouble.

I don’t understand how this hotel has such a good rating. It’s mediocre at best. The only good thing was the bed, which we found quite comfortable. The building is in need of refurbishment. In the halls on the walls there are parts completely scraped, in the room everything is rusty. In the bathroom, the faucet and the shower are rusty, water coming out from everywhere. On the balcony also the fence is completely rusty. The first day the room floor was very slippery and felt fatty. We were with a young toddler and she fell on her back. We requested to clean the floor, they did it fast and it was still slippery; so we requested to clean it properly, afterwards it was fine. I found the hotel completely overpriced.

Dirty hotel with black mold in shower

I am very surprised this hotel has so many good reviews. While our bed was comfortable our room was gross overall. There was black mold all over the shower, spots all over the mirror on arrival, stains all over the day bed and weird “drips” down the wall. The paint is peeling off the walls in every hallway. I thought the pool was dirty and the prices at the pool bar were completely ridiculous and not on par with anything else in Ao Nang. The location is ok but you couldn’t pay me to stay here again. We actually left our room for 2 nights and went to Khao Lak where we stayed at a gorgeous, clean property. That was partially due to our dislike of Ao Nang as a whole but also due to how awful our room was. I probably should have said something to the hotel but I didn’t feel like dealing with it. The staff seemed to be unable to answer any of our questions about anything and it felt like a waste of time to try and complain. I love Thailand, not my first trip and have never had an experience like this at any other hotel there.

Great location. Staff were friendly. Rooms were great. Pool, poolside and swim up bar was nice. Happy hour twice a day. Great live music outside in the front on the evening. We did not eat at the hotel, but would have if we had more time.
