The whole facility is outstanding!, from the check in staff and the property is excellent and well designed. The suite has great lay out and the other couple we were traveling with had an adjoining suit which made are ability to enjoy each other’s company. And the water pressure and temperature of the shower was as good as or better then my own at home. We felt like we were in our own home!!! What more can I say

Our family has been coming to OBX for years. This year when our usual group could not join us, we quickly pivoted from our usual house rental to a smaller option for myself, partner, and kids. Our unit was just the right size for the four of us (1 K in BD, plus a Q pullout in the LR). It was nice having the kitchen available, which is unique from the usual hotel experience. The balconies are surrounded by woods so had several large spiders when we first arrived, but maintenance cleared them right away when requested! The kids loved the indoor splash zone, arcade, and peddle boats. I wish we would have attended more of the daily activities ($). They looked fun, but we were busy with our own things off campus. The weather was so nice we would have loved for the outdoor pool to be open, but we travel in the off season so that was not a surprise. We did have some concern about bugs. Even at the main property there were spiders and large webs on the outdoor furniture. There were a few roaches in the unit and common areas. My kid came to my room one morning crying that a bug was in her bed. I went to find a large roach under the pillow. Later we returned to the unit to find another in the bedroom. Service was great, though! Staff sprayed the unit while we were out the next day and there were no more bugs in the unit afterward! On the last day, there was a large one in the indoor pool area. Overall, the staff/service and nearby amenities made the stay exceptional!

We didn’t have any issues in the parking lot and never used the hot tub. The unit we rented was exactly what we needed. I am temporarily handicap and it suited me perfectly. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. It was a great day.

Nice Unit, Pretty Location, Beware Guest WIFI

Our stay was during shoulder season, so the pools were not in operation, which is understandable. The unit itself was OUTSTANDING for the price -- 1 master bedroom, 1 loft bedroom, 2 generous bathrooms, private deck and private screened porch, and a washer/dryer shared with one other unit. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were asked about viewing the Vacations Club presentation, but it wasn't harassing or troublesome. The location of the property is wonderful -- nestled in the woods off the main highway, so it is close to the action but you feel a million miles away. The buildings themselves are in need of some maintenance. Dropped my rating for cleanliness because the foyer housing the washer/dryer had a very unpleasant odor and because a fairly large critter of some sort was living in the attic and rooting around all night -- a little disconcerting. Notified the staff, and I am confident they will have it resolved. The only problem I would warn other guests about is the guest WIFI. It is NOT secured. Husband and I were on it for only a few minutes to glance at our emails and the hacking attempts have been nonstop since then.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The site is weirdly located behind a Walmart. Amenities are fine. The suite had paper thin walls. I heard EVERYTHING from the next unit. One morning I thought my neighbors were eating in my kitchen. I might as well have shared their condo. It was not relaxing. When I was asked about the stay, and I commented on this, the response was “Gee- sorry to hear that.” Not even an offer to be relocated to a more isolated unit during a slow season. The quality of construction was awful.
