Nice vacation getaway with good sized very clean suite, awesome swimming pool, and very friendly staff. It is a mile or so away from the beach, so a short drive. Recently acquired by Hilton, so poolside bar not yet open, but progress and improvements can be seen.

When we first arrived to the property it was aestically pleasing. We checked in at the welcome center and the staff were super inviiting and friendly. There was a coffee station by the lobby which was a nice touch. We then left the welcome center to go to our unit. We passed the pool area which was very nice for adults and kids. The unit was nestled in the woods. It did not look appealing from the outside. The wood looked run down. There were spiders and bugs every where. Downside: every time you entered or exited you were hit in the face with spider webs or had run in or out from the moths and horse flys. We walked up the long stair case to our unit. It was equipped with a washer and dryer in the hall area which was nice. (You have to get your own detergent).We entered the actual unit and it was clean and very inviting. There was one king size bed with private bathroom, a sofa that turned into a sleeper and a second level with two twin size beds. Tv's were in all the rooms but they were no instructions on how to look for the channels. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. It was a full sized kitchen. Downside, there was no coffee filters, no aluminum foil, zip lock bags. There were no ice trays or icepacks which would have been helpful. It would have been helpful to have a welcoming folder(letting us know how to work things in the un) We were qiven a list to eat and a huge map. It was pretty easy to move around the towns and everyone was super friendly.

The staff was the only upside to our stay. They were phenomenal at the front desk and concierge. We had cockroaches in our rooms on multiple occasions. We found food and property from the people who stayed before us. The rooms were not throughly cleaned. The stairs were in bad shape and weren’t marked for visually impaired and were hard to see in the dark. Maintenance had to come fix the lighting. The bedroom lights were flashing off and on randomly. The indoor pool was nice. Having stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club, this Hilton Vacation Club was a disappointment.

Nice property tucked in the woods behind Walmart! It’s a drive to the beach however they have designated parking at the public beach entrance which is great. The resort amenities & activities are awesome. My boys loved the indoor pool area with the lazy river and the hot tub. We looked at the outdoor pool, it was nice but it was still a little cold to swim. The staff are very friendly & professional. The room we had was clean & spacious. They have a full kitchen with a full sized fridge. We stayed at a villa with king sized bed and a pull out couch, 2 bathrooms. There is a washer and dyer to share with another villa in the hallway. The only reason why we gave it 4 stars is because of the noise from the upstairs villa. You can hear every footsteps and conversations they are having on the balcony which lasted until 3AM. You can hear every flush in their toilet above, showering and such. It’s really annoying when all you wanted was some peace & quiet and a restful night. We were glad that we only have to endure that for 1 night since that’s all we rented that place for. The stairs to the villas can be a little steep for older people also and probably will need to get freshen up with paint soon too.

We stay here every memorial weekend with our 2 kids and we normally love it. This experience was a bit different. The employees watching the pool area were super strict. To the point it was uncomfortable. We felt like they were staring at us the entire time we swam. One employee we watched circle his desk several times before coming into the pool area and making rounds. No snacks were allowed, which is unfortunate. We have a 3 year old that lives off snacks and it was very inconvenient to constantly leave the indoor area to go back to our room for 4 bites of a cracker.

The property was beautiful. Great for families. The swim facility was clean and well maintained. Our room was clean and appeared to have been recently renovated. Only drawback was that noise from the room next door carries. Conversation / laughter from the neighboring unit was easy to hear and sounded like the neighbors were sitting in our unit.

This property worked very well for our April trip to the Outer Banks. The main selling points were: (1) Great accommodation for two adults and two teens. We had a unit with a living/dining area and kitchen, a master bedroom, and a separate loft room up a flight of steps, which gave the teens their own space. (2) There’s an indoor pool that we wanted in case the weather didn’t turn out to be good during our stay. The property isn’t on the beach, but a few mins drive will take you to the hotel’s own parking lot which is very close to the beach. The parking lot was usually empty when we went - it may be very busy in peak summer thought. There isn’t a restaurant onsite, which at first I thought was odd, but then realized that you don’t really need it with all the options nearby. Overall, this was a great base for our trip. The weather turned out to be excellent, but we still enjoyed using the pool and hot tub in the evenings.
