Great stay

Lovely independent hotel , ideally situated just off A1 for stop off stay ,great breakfast and welcome air conditioning . Good pub restaurant for evening meal . Great service it was nice to see local staff taking a pride in their job .

Nice building with good grounds & easy access. Check-in was quick & efficient. Didn't seem enough staff on the bar for evening, dinner & drinks were relatively slow service. Similar for breakfast, this was closed until exactly the minuel of opening time & then when allowed in all the covered goods, fruit, etc. was still under plastic, coffee machine was not turned on so had to wait for that as well. Server seemed somewhat interested but the food itself was nice.

Brilliant stay - complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely surprise. We had dinner and breakfast, both were amazing. Thank you very much! Our only wish was we had another night and more time to enjoy the scenic location.

I stay here on a regular basis. They always remeber my name and are exceptional at customer service. The hotel is modern, clean and set in a very old building. Food stunning Well worth a visit on business or holiday.

Nice spacious parking area with plenty of spaces. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to assist. Room was comfortable and well supplied. Peaceful area so had a great nights sleep. Would definitely stay again

I have stayied here many times and enjoy the hotel. Lovely all year round. Amazing in summer for the voews and walks. Lovely food, reasonable price. The breakfast is amazing with proper coffee. I will be staying aloy more in the future and highly recammend. Every element is 10/10. The staff are great and nothing is too much. People travel to the hotel for their food so you will always be treated to a great feast at a great price with a lovely peaceful hotel to rest you head for the next day!
