OYO Rooms - accommodation in Khao Lak

Morocea was a last-minute switch for us, and I am so happy that we did. We had a wonderful week, it was low season so the place was quiet and peaceful, and the price was amazing! The property itself is in a lush tropical setting and feels very Thai compared to the modern minimalist hotels you see now. Right on the beach for beautiful views at breakfast and from the pools. We had a deluxe hibiscus room, and it was so nice, we really enjoyed the extra-large bath and the window seating area. Breakfast was also very good, and no complaints about the cocktails or food at the restaurant when we dined there. We did eat lunch and dinner out of the resort most days, and there are some good selections within a 10-minute walk from the resort. The main area with the night market etc will require a taxi transport to get there, but there was always someone waiting to take you, so it was very easily arranged, and prices are set so roughly $20AUD there and back for a trip. My only warning will be that our room was at the top of the hill so sometimes it did feel like quite a trek to get to your room. But they do offer golf cart buggy service to get you around if you need. They were usually pretty quick to come pick you up. Not a deal breaker for us, we are younger and mostly fit, but just be aware if you have mobility issues, you will be better off booking a room that is closer to the beach.
