This is a lovely old building with a lot of character. Parking was included in our room rate and when we visited, we had no issues with finding a car park within the hotel grounds. Our room was spacious, and gave us everything we needed. It was quiet and the bed was very comfy. It was a short easy walk into town. We ate both breakfast and dinner there daily. Both were at additional cost to our room rate, but we felt we got good value. The 45.00 GBP pp for a 3 course evening meal was excellent value for money given the quality of the food and staffing. Probably too much food if you have had a late lunch. The second day we ate lighter during the day so that we could enjoy our evening meal more. The breakfasts were very good. On site bar area and sitting rooms were very relaxing. The resident rabbits in the garden were cute (even though we know they are vermin). This was a lovely place - we were there for 2 nights as part of a month long UK driving holiday. I would stay at this Hotel again.

Budget hotel offers great value for money. Excellent location only 10 minutes walk from Keswick centre. Staff service was first class!

We have stayed a few times now at the hotel and each time the standards are always high. Very clean room and the staff are always helpful. The restaurant food is excellent and always a good choice on the menu

Great break hotel

Nice hotel, great central location. Parking is excellent. Room as clean and comfy. Staff were all very friendly. Easy to check in. Bed was extremely soft, which didn't suit us, but otherwise good.

Really good location for exploring Keswick and the area. Close to town centre, rooms clean and fairly spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food really good quality and with some vegetarian options. Drinks from the bar not too expensive. The only downside is some of the hotel looks somewhat "tired" and could do with upgrading. All in all, a really nice place to have a break.

We loved the idea of repurposing an old and magnificent building. Very clean and comfortable. Staff excellent. A little overpriced,especially considering no meals were included.

Room review

The room was lovely but the bathroom was freezing cold because it had no radiator in there so it made it really uncomfortable having a shower because it was like an ice block and you couldn't leave the door open because the cold came into the bedroom making that room cold but apart from that it was lovely.

1 hour breakfast

Breakfast is only served for 1 hour. The windows in my room rsttled all night keeping me awake. They also did not lock, anybody could walk along the flat room outside the window and enter my room. Did not feel safe.
