We love staying here - usually with our dog. It is not a sterile motel with hermetically sealed windows - and with the rumoured purchase by Hilton, we hope it doesn't turn into one of those expensive, sterile chain motels. This place has character and lovely staff. Sure it's a bit dated, but it's clean and reasonably priced and in a nice location for walking with lovely river views. I hope the Hilton corporation won't ruin this place. If they were smart, they would emphasize the 1960's down home feel and keep the great folks who work here who make it feel homey. We travel a lot and this is by far one of our most favourite places to stay.

If we hadn’t started our trip late, we might have been able to enjoy the area before dark. Easy to get to, and comfortable beds. I would have enjoyed a few more breakfast options, but didn’t leave disliking anything.
