This is an older, average-quality motel, with extensive remodeling in progress. Swimming pool is not heated and cold; could not find the advertised hot tub. Noisy outdoors band concert Sunday night 7 to 10 p.m. immediately adjacent to building. Bed pillows need replacement (flat) and plain breakfast offered weekend days, even less on weekdays. Noisy guest rooms with neighbor's shower sounding loud as if in your room.

Care worn is what came to mind. They are remodeling the property and i hope it turns out well. The area is supurb. It is an island in the river. Furniture was antiquated and beat up. No ice machine on floor. If they fixed it up i would go back.

We really enjoyed the swimming pool right on the river! We just stayed for about 12 hours from three in the afternoon until 3 AM because we have to head back to Seattle to get to work on time. We really enjoyed ourselves and love the staff in the property and had a great time, relaxing at the pool! Thank you! Will probably be back.

Great but no hot tub

Excellent front desk service - not just courteous but friendly. Real. Only downside was vey buggy pool and no hot tub. Beautiful view!

Its old and it shows. Badly needs a quality renovation. There was mold in the shower and the elevator floor is rotting. All the switch covers and the like are yellowed as if they've been there since smoking was permitted. My biggest complaint was quality of the people I encountered. Most notably, the putas having an hour long scrap in the parking lot, screaming their vapid heads off, followed by an import car with loud exhaust racing off and bottoming out over the excessively large speed bumps. I didn't get much sleep, even after getting earplugs out of the car and personally meeting one of the budget lolitas skittering past me her platform heels and tube top.

If you want to location right on the waterfront, this hotel is excellent. There are also a couple of easy to walk to restaurants nearby to have great menu options.

I've stayed at Clover Island inn in the past. Its a good.stop on a trip from Portland to Montana and the hotel is pet friendly. There's a walking/running trail along the river and Columbia Park is nearby, making it a good locale for walking the dog before we get on the road. Not fancy, but clean, friendly, and comfortable. Good restaurants nearby. A good stay.

Just a little worse than before

The most disappointing thing was that the breakfast has gone down a huge notch since the last time we were there two years ago. Also, they got rid of their Jacuzzi and filled it in with cement. That was really disappointing. It is still a fantastic location with a nice pool and right next to the Columbia river. The views were awesome. One of the nights we were there. There was a live band in the parking lot, which was really fun.
