We stayed here in 1988. It was much smaller, cleaner, more like a lodge. Unique bar area. Now it is blah, no character. Poor food selection. It's just a place to sleep at. Back of hotel looks like a junk yard. Store has few items. Such a change from the beautiful 1988 lodge!!!!

This is a wonderful place! Our cabin was clean and cozy. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location is convenient to the parks. The on-site restaurant and bar, The Grizzly Grill, had a nice menu and great service.

Title: Disappointing Stay – Poor Management, Unhelpful Staff, and Unclean Rooms My recent stay was incredibly disappointing and frustrating from start to finish. First, the check-in process was far from smooth. We were told that rooms are pre-assigned prior to arrival and that no adjustments could be made—regardless of any reason, big or small. There was zero flexibility or willingness to accommodate guest preferences. The situation only got worse. At around 11 PM, we were locked out of our room because the key had stopped working. We tried contacting the after-hours support line, only to find there was no meaningful help available. When we finally reached Shawn, the property manager, his response was shockingly indifferent. Instead of showing concern or offering assistance, he suggested we go to another hotel—in the middle of the night, in a remote mountain area. What made the situation even more unacceptable was that Shawn never once apologized and took no responsibility or action to improve the clear failure in their after-hours guest support system. His dismissive and unprofessional attitude was not only unhelpful but also unacceptable for any hospitality setting. As if that weren’t enough, the room was poorly maintained, with spider webs hanging in multiple corners—a clear sign of lack of cleanliness and upkeep. I cannot recommend Togwotee Mountain Lodge unless significant improvements are made in guest service, staff attitude, and property maintenance.

The lodge rooms are very outdated - caulk was peeling off the tub, the tub was not draining properly after a shower, and the room itself was dirty. We found u shaped hair pins in the bathroom and on the carpet in the room. The road noise radiates through the room at all hours of the night and we had to sleep with the windows open since there was no AC or fans. The nicest part was the bartender at the pub being super attentive and friendly.

One of the two beds was comfortable - the second bed had a divot in the middle and for two people it was hard to sleep. The cabins are cute and rustic - the refrigerator/range top/sink combination was interesting. The breakfast buffet was $20 each, so we didn't do that. We had snacks one night and the food was great. They were understaffed and it took awhile to get our order, but the waiter was very nice. There is a small gift shop with some cute things. Make sure you know how to get there - turn left at the south entrance of Yellowstone (to Dubois), don't head toward Jackson.

Our cabin was decent. Unfortunately, we went to the saloon and were served extremely watered down drinks. I sent mine back and asked for it to be removed from the bill. I had to get up and ask for menus. The chili was good. Breakfast costs $20 per adult and was mediocre at best. I told the waiter that the self serve coffee urn was empty so he poured in 2 pots. By the time I got to it, it was empty again. It’s a shame that the dining was a very poor experience because the cabin was kind of cute. I would not recommend this to anyone unless they care more for location than experience.

We liked this stay, very unplugged. The ONLY issue is, if you are going to offer WI-FI, it should actually work. We could not make or receive phone calls, emails or texts due to poor reception. We would go back again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Togowotee Lodge. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. My only complaint is that there is no elevator which can be difficult carrying your luggage upstairs.

Quiet yet run-down option outside of Grand Teton

Rooms are small but comfortable. Property is dated and reminiscent of the 1980s; some aspects are run-down. There is a gift shop and restaurant/bar, which is convenient. There are also charcoal grills and picnic tables between the hotel property and gas station store. Parking lot is unpaved and there are no elevators. Bathroom smelled strongly of mildew.

Could not reach anyone for three days before check-in with questions about a "required registration form" stated in their instructions. Person at front desk RUDE. Receipt from Expedia stated that I owed $28 at checkin, but was charged $60 security deposit. Not told if I would get this back. When I showed clerk receipt from Expedia, told "I can't do anything about that." Too few electric outlets, causing me to have to unplug lights to plug in our devices. Only air circulation a single half window. Currently 76 degrees in room at 1 am. Ceiling fans are cheap people! One bed ROCK HARD. Other ok. no one even checked our trash or supplied clean towel for second day. DEFINITLY will NOT return here. No cell service-which I accept for the location, but no working landline! Even if the phone in our room did work, no one answers the phone at the front desk, so we can't be reached in an emergency.

The property has wonderful views to enjoy. I didn’t find the 2nd floor balcony until our last night. It would have been nice to be made aware of this spot to enjoy the evening sky. It was very quiet, beds were comfortable, no air conditioning wasn’t a problem because the nights were cool with the window open. Dinner options were tasty, but breakfast wasn’t worth the price. It was subpar! The stairs are very steep and with the altitude can be an issue. Be prepared for them or ask for a first floor room.
