Nice place, I the stranger, not for once learned more language. Thus my cultural error. Staff unable or unwilling to scan it assist scanning a document from Australia. Left cleaning staff a bottle of Australian wine.

NIPPONIA Sawara Merchant Town Hotel
Everything was great. You need to ask the staff to help with bags otherwise it is not offered. But upon asking they were helpful. There were steep stairs to my room. Carrying a bag up was hard but I didn’t want to hurt myself trying to carry them down.

THE FARM Resort Japan
We stayed at the Habitat. There was no staff to assist. Signage only says check out but no check in so it was confusing, We had to seek help from the nearby friendly Karin Onsen staff. This is okay but it would be better if we were informed in advance.
