Wombat Wallows is a peaceful and private retreat tucked away in the heart of Kangaroo Valley. Set on five acres of lush, established gardens at the end of a quiet country lane, it’s just a couple of minutes' drive from the village, yet feels like a world away.
This architecturally designed home is the perfect escape—whether you're planning a romantic weekend or a relaxing getaway with family.
The open-plan living area features a beautiful fireplace as its centrepiece and flows seamlessly onto a spacious veranda. From here, you can take in stunning views of the surrounding mountains and enjoy the soothing sounds of Nugents Creek bubbling below while you cook a meal on the Weber BBQ.
The fully equipped kitchen and dining area includes a dishwasher and coffee press, making mealtimes easy and enjoyable.
Upstairs, you’ll find two generously sized bedrooms—one with a queen bed and the other with two king singles. The upstairs bathroom includes a full-size bath, perfect for unwinding after a day of bushwalking or canoeing on the Kangaroo River. A convenient powder room is also located downstairs.
Comfort is assured year-round, with a wood fire, multiple air-conditioning units, and ceiling fans throughout the home.
Guests are welcome to explore the expansive gardens, which feature a mix of ornamental plants and fruit trees, as well as sunny nooks ideal for picnics or quiet moments.
Nature lovers will be right at home—Wombat Wallows is visited by a wide variety of native wildlife, including kangaroos, swamp wallabies, lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats, and goannas. Birdwatchers will delight in spotting honeyeaters, parrots, bowerbirds, and sulphur-crested cockatoos in the garden.
