South wing review

Was on the 8th floor. Didn’t think much of a hole in the ceiling covered with a plastic sheet, along the corridor. On my last night, hot water came pouring down out of that hole and flooded the whole floor (scalding hot water). The leak flowed all the way through to the lobby (2nd floor). Staff were doing their best to manage the situation and we were brought to a nearby inn to stay at. But I’m not sure if they’re still processing the effects of the situation, or if they’ll be in touch for some sort of customer service management.

I loved the amenities bar upon check-in which allowed me to select from a wide range of toiletries as well a tea and coffee. The Japanese breakfast was also top notch, highlighting local foods and traditional favorites.

Excellent all rounder for food, shopping, transport, everything is walkable, is also the last/first stop for the Kagoshima city view bus, which is very convenient for seeing all the main sites within the city. The only thing we had issues with was the sleeping arrangement - bed hardness was inconsistent, one bed was much harder than the other in our room, and pillow options were not great (the firmer one had beads on one side, not very comfortable, and the softer option was so soft it was like lying on nothing). Overall would still recommend staying here, as the advantages significantly outweigh the disadvantages.

It is right next to the station. Hotel seems to be still new condition so room and bathroom looked nice. It is similar layout as other business hotels, but the price was right.

Kagoshima Visit

This hotel is located within or next to the Kagoshima Chuo train station, which is very convenient for train travel and lots of dining and shopping to chose from. Hotel and room were very comfortable and clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Toiletries and amenities were provided in the lobby. There is a tourist information desk near the hotel entry so it’s convenient. I would recommend this hotel for visitors looking for a right priced hotel with great location and comfort.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Easy to locate as it is just out of the train station in the left. Left luggage services was self-serviced with staff on standby to help. Great location if you’re intending to use Kagoshima as a base for day trips. There’s a discount ticket for parking too. Rooms are clean, and the staff speaks decent English language. Threre’s complimentary bath salts for use with the attached bathtub in the room. I did not try the restaurants in the hotel and thus am unable to provide comments.

A request for one night refund

I supposed to stay 2 nights (2024_1215 to 1217). However, I was not able attend the night of 1215 because of the Car Rental Nissan at Fukuoka said that my international driver license is not a correct one. I have to delay one to go to Kagoshima. I called JR hotel for cancellation of the 1215 night. But the hotel can not handle it. I then file a request to Hotel.com for taking care of this case. Again, no reply on my request. I am very very disappointed in your handling customer's like this. Chun Hung Chen
