Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. The only negative was that there was a problem with the shower doors in that there was a large gap in the middle causing the water to leak out when taking a shower. This was reported many times but never got fixed.

Pleasant stay but could be so much better

We had a lovely time at Skallion but the hotel needs some maintenance. Our shower leaked and aircon didnā€™t work even after we reported the issue several times which made the stay in Istanbul uncomfortably hot. The staff were friendly and kind. The breakfast lacks an egg station and was average.

This hotel is located in front of an extremely busy street. With sidewalks very uneven and you literally need to fear getting hit by a car or motorcycle while crossing the street. The rooms are small and bathroom very small. This hotel has one busy elevator. The breakfast is very basic nothing to consider elaborate. The roof top restaurant overlooks tops of other buildings and the straights. The pictures and views shown on the travel sites are much more embellished than reality. There is assorted restaurants on a plaza very close by. The Grand Bazaar is one mile up hill from the hotel, but the other attractions is far away, take public transportation. Again be aware of the traffic. I highly advise to get a hotel near the rail system, as this becomes a much easier way to see the main sites. This hotel is about 45 minutes away from the airport As far as the four star ratings I give it a 3.

Disappointing!

Dingy hotel. First and last time to stay here. Restaurant staff was shouting rude comments in Turkish, assuming no one understood. And, we got it all. Front desk lady was very professional and a problem solver. Rooms smelled of sewage. Overall, creepy hotel where you hear all sounds from surrounding rooms and above.

MitigĆ© par rapport Ć  la classification 4 Ć©toiles : Des chambres petites et pas toujours avec fenĆŖtres donnant sur l'extĆ©rieur ! assez bruyantes du fait des ventilations forcĆ©es et bruits de cuisine provenant des conduits. Par contre la terrasse sur le toit c'est top, et le buffet du petit dej avec vue sur la mer fait oublier le reste. Localisation idĆ©ale, pas trop prĆØs des centres d'attractions touristiques mais pas trop loin non plus, et en plus de bons restos Ć  proximitĆ© directe ( moins de 3 minutes Ć  pied, et bien mieux que dans l'hĆ“tel)
