The apartment was laid out well for use and it had all of the features that you'd like, want or need (3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, full kitchen, balcony, pool upstairs, etc.), so we enjoyed being able to relax in our own space properly for a few days.
However, as we read in other reviews, there is absolutely nothing provided as far as basic extras for guests. Want to drink your water out of a glass? Too bad. How about some extra cutlery? Nope. Want to add some salt or pepper to something? Bring it yourself. If you've got a drawer for utensils, maybe you could simply add more than 1 or 2 of everything - what if more than 2 people use this accommodation? And a second room/access key. I can't tell you how inconvenient it was to have to leave the room as a group and not be able to go up or down from pool/gym/outside on your own.
The other issue was the amount of leaking going on, and lack of maintenance. The kitchen mixer tap wasn't fixed properly, the bathroom floors were constantly covered in water and the showers, while good, had unprotected (not water proof) power outlets above them. Dangerous. And furniture was actually functionally poor. The couch is one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever sat in also.
The pool upstairs was nice enough, but the whole building felt run down (which isn't the apartment owners fault). The location was pretty good, with great food options nearby including a mall, and there's a great view on all sides to take in Ipoh from a good height.
