We are close to numerous activities and great restaurants, located on 16 acre Private Lake with a boat for you to use, RIGHT OFF of US 31, just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. We have a dock with a small boat for you to use along with a Screened in Gazebo down by the lake.

Here are 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting.

#1 No Parties are permitted in our house or property at all times during your stay.

#2 Our house is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, there is no bathtub we have a stand up shower, there is no dishwasher, located RIGHT OFF of US 31, potenial for road noise, one step up to enter property.

#3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay.
Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place!

The Lochen House is located in Interlochen right off US 31 on Lost Lake a 16 acre lake, the center point of activities in the Traverse region. We can accommodate 6 GUESTS.

The Lochen House features a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials such as microwave, pots & pans, coffee maker,toaster, blender, slow cooker and your basic kitchen items to cook a nice meal.
This is a 2 bedroom unit with a queen size bed's, the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa, 50” Smart TV, Netflix, also has Ultra fast 5G WIFI . The bathroom has a stand up shower, hair dryer, iron & board and a washer & dryer to take care of your laundry needs.
This house has a private deck and also has a patio table / chairs & outside grill so that you can truly enjoy those long summer days.

Great Location to TC, Cozy Home
We were new to the Interlochen area, as we normally stay farther north, but we loved the convenience of the location to other areas in NoMi. I highly recommend Interlochen State Park, especially if you're traveling with your pups. The home itself was well laid out and SO warm and cozy. We stayed over Christmas and often didn't even need the heater on, which was nice. The only things I'd add that aren't in the listing is if you're planning on cooking, bring exactly what you need, as there isn't a ton in the kitchen, which isn't a huge deal. I'll also note there's an odd, rather run-down shack next to the property that seems to have people coming and going at all hours. It certainly didn't impact our stay, but it's not pictured and was a little eerie.

Pleasant little cabin for 60th birthday trip
This cabin offered everything we needed, and was close to Traverse City, three casinos, and Lake Michigan. The original listing showed that it had a hot tub, but when I questioned Jeff about it not being in the pictures, he stated that it was a listing error. He offered another available cabin for our first four nights, but I declined since it would be inconvenient to move for the last night. I would highly recommend this cabin for 2 - 4 people, as it is small.

Host Jeff was friendly and communicated with us often. House was clean and adequate for our needs. Located near all the places we wanted to see, the state and national parks. Only downfall is the busy highway on which its located. But it is landscaped nicely to cut noise and has a beautiful view of a private lake in back. All in all we really like it.

Wonderful stay!!
My husband and I stayed at the Lochen House last weekend for our anniversary and loved it! The setting is beautiful, even lovelier than the pictures. The house was adorable and probably the cleanest I’ve ever rented. And Jeff was very kind and easy to communicate with. If you’re standing right outside the house, it’s a little loud during the day because of the highway, but inside the house is quiet, as well as I think down by the water, which was peaceful and beautiful! Would definitely love to stay there again!

I stayed for some quiet time, it was nice. Good location to do things in the Traverse City and Frankfort areas. Was clean and easy to use. If you don't like traffic noise it might not work for you, but it didn't bother me.

This was a quick visit for my niece's wedding. We couldn't have been happier. Location was perfect with the beautiful fall colors on full display. Took the little row boat out for a cruise around the lake/pond and road noise wasn't a problem at all - actually was like rhythmic white noise.

Interlochen
Nice place to stay - convenient and close to everything. A little bit of noise from the close proximity to the highway but it quiets down in the evening and we were out out all day anyway so it wasn't a negative. Jeff is easy to reach for any questions or problems and quickly responds to anything we had to contact him for. We would definitely stay there again.
