Perfect cabin getaway for your family on beautiful sandy bottom Bass Lake! Only 20 miles to Traverse City. Full kitchen and amenities for your family to experience that Pure Michigan feel. Use of 2 kayaks included April-Oct. The cabin with fire pit overlooks beautiful, sandy Bass Lake and has it's own private dock. Amazing sunsets! Stocked with linens, towels and kitchen necessities. Great Wifi and cable tv! If you have additional guests, message host for additional occupancy possibilities! Experience the feeling of Northern Michigan! The cabin overlooks beautiful, sandy Bass Lake and has it's own dock, charcoal grill, fire pit, picnic table and use of our 2 kayaks! Main bedroom has a full bed, 2nd bedroom has built in bunks(two single beds). This cabin is best suited for a family and 2 children due to the bunk beds in 2nd bedroom. Save money cooking your own meals in a full kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances and other cooking necessities. The cabin sits on the east side of Bass Lake facing west, so the sunsets and starry skies are amazing, especially viewed around the campfire! Bass Lake is unique because it is a sandy bottom all-sport lake just 20 Miles from downtown Traverse City, where there is plenty of fun family-activities. You can also enjoy everything the surrounding area has to offer by taking day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan or the take a drive north to sample Michigan's finest wines. Last but not least, there is broadband internet, good cellphone service, and cable T.V. Additionally, we are just 5 miles from the world-renowned Interlochen Center for the Arts, and a perfect place to stay while visiting your kids for concerts and performances. This cabin shares the property with our home next door perfect for large groups for an additional rate. Entire cabin is yours to use including yard and private dock. The driveway in is shared. Depending on weather dock could be winterized anytime from Sept to June. Kayaks available April-Oct. They can be arrange other times if needed.  Message me with any questions! Very cute place, perfect for my two kids, me and my husband. Clean and comfortable. Pictures are not updated on the VRBO listing but the place was better than the pictures! The bunk room can get a little warm so I would recommend a fan be provided or installed in that room. Also maybe a light over the table as it is quite dark in the evening to play games. Overall my family loved it and are planning to go back next year.

Cute little cabin with a beautiful view.

Our Favorite Get-a-Way

My husband and I love staying in the cabin. This will be our third time. The first time was in the summer, so we made use of the kayaks and my husband did some fishing from the dock. The last two times we came in the fall to enjoy the colors and to do some hiking. The cabin is cozy, clean and feels like home. Andrew set us up with firewood from the neighbor. Jerry was great and even helped us get the fire started. Even though it was unseasonably warm for October, the wind put a damper on us using the kayaks this time. The lake was pretty choppy. We highly recommend the kayaks when the weather cooperates. I had a couple questions for Andrew during our stay, and he responded right away. He’s an excellent host. Thanks again for sharing your cabin with us.

Enjoyed our two days at Bass Lake. Small accommodations and what we needed for a home base between excursions to Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor, and surrounds. Enjoyed the kayaks. Night sky amazing.

Cute cabin with great sunsets

We have been to Interlochen and the surrounding area previously and love the region, but this was our first time on Bass Lake. The lake is great! Sandy and shallow for our 1 year-old to splash her feet in, and provided a beautiful setting for views of the sunset. The cabin is small, but had everything we needed, and was very clean. The only snag was the unlock code for the door did not work initially - but we called the owner, and Andy helped us out immediately.

Nice Get Away

We went with our 2 teenage daughters to this private lake property, it is small, but it was fine for the 4 of us. we went in April, so it was cool, and the dock wasn't in, but it was peaceful. Not far from grocery store and close enough to the dunes. It was a pleasant getaway with the family.

The first thing we noticed was the dog hair on all the furniture and floor, and unfortunately it made my boyfriend sneeze the whole weekend. Cleanliness was not at its peak that’s for sure. But as far as location and amenities go it was good. Bed is small and not too comfy. Priced right. Lake is beautiful.
